જલ મંદિર-Stepwell means the well with the steps. The stepwell has many architectural parts i.e. Toda & Toran, Entrance Pavilion, Ledges, Wall, Pavilion, Well, Niches, Struts, Water Pool, Pillars and Pilasters, Stepped Corridor, etc. This paper gives importance information about the Parts of a stepwell with Sankrit meaning like मुख मंडप, तोडा, तोरण, सोपान मार्ग, गवाक्ष, कूट, वरंडीका, आंगन, कूप, घटिकायंत्र, कक्षासन, चाट, etc. Also, it is documented the examples of the stepwell which has the parts.

It has the guidelines for the planning and construction of the structure by which we can achieve, balance, & harmony between nature and god. Vastu shastra is scientific and logical which can be useful for modern building science industry. Modern building science and Vastu shastra have similarity in their goals but the reason given for Vastu seems more religious but their result is beneficial. Therefore, use of Vastu shastra with modern building science may will increase the value modern building guidelines. In this paper we have tried to study about the Vastu Shastra principles which can be useful for the modern building science and to revitalize the ancient principles of planning and construction of institutional building.

Followers of VASTU SHASTRA get not only worldly pleasure but also experience heavenly bliss." This book presents a complete knowledge about vastu Shastra or Vedic architecture criteria from base and origins to detailed information and rules in all buildings categories and functions.

The main objective of the study is to know the development of kerala architecture through ages and how the religious architectures have influenced pilgrimage tourism.
Kerala architecture has grown through different periods in which each period has contributes different style, pattern and looks.
Religious monuments and buildings of historic importance have a great role in pilgrimage tourism. Through the project, the importance and attraction of these religious sites have been conveyed, fulfilling the second objective of the project
The project is concluded by getting to a point that, the pilgrimage tourism has seen a better growth (derived from the annual report of, Department of tourism, Kerala) and there could be a faster growth by preserving these sites and  providing with the needs and wants of the tourists.

There are two things in life, negative and positive. How can one stay positive? Either they should know to be positive or they should eliminate the negatives so the positive automatically starts building up! This is the basic science behind the Vastu Sashtra.

Scientific Background; In the elementary school one is taught that the sun raises in the east and sets in the west. In reality the point on the horizon where the sun raises moves quite a lot. It is visibly south of due east during mid winter at which time sunset is also south of due west. Obviously, at this time, the sun does not reach the exact zenith, the point exactly overhead. A little thought would immediately reveal that the sun path is not exactly perpendicular to the horizon and as the sun rises, it moves not only up from the horizon but also slightly to the south. As the months pass, the point of sunrise on the horizon moves north and at midsummer it reaches a farthest point north of due east. The sun set point is also north of due west. As the sun travels south to north and back, during the year, the sun reaches the exact zenith, the point exactly overhead only two times in a year.
