Οι σωστικές ανασκαφές στην περιοχή των νεκροταφείων της αρχαίας Τροιζήνας απέδωσαν αξιόλογα πήλινα ειδώλια, χρονολογούμενα από τους αρχαϊκούς έως και τους ελληνιστικούς χρόνους. Το θεματολόγιό τους περιλαμβάνει ανδρικές και γυναικείες μορφές, έρωτες, πλαγγόνες, ζώα και πτηνά. Όπως προκύπτει από τα έως τώρα ανασκαφικά δεδομένα, τα κτερίσματα αυτού του είδους συνόδευαν κατά προτίμηση ταφές γυναικών και παιδιών.

Burials and necropoleis contain an inexhaustible amount of information on sepulchral ritual practices and conceptions of the afterlife. Burial and grave good customs allow us to generate conclusions on the relationship with the deceased and with death itself, and possibly allow us to reconstruct the social status of the deceased, the bereaved and the mourners as well.
At least six necropolis areas can be found nearby the polis of Halieis, a small city on the southern tip of the Argolid, settled from ca. 700 - 300 BCE. Here for the first time, a systematic evaluation of these necropoleis was undertaken by Jenny H. Schlehofer based on reports from American excavations in the 1970s, offering a comprehensive reconstruction and interpretation of the burial and grave good customs, as well as a complete detailing of all finds and features. Additional physical anthropological analyses of the skeletal remains revealing gender and age allow further conclusions to be drawn on sepulchral rites.
In addition, graves and necropoleis from the entire Argolid are places in regional comparison with those of Halieis, the results of which are brought together to form a detailed overall picture of burial and grave good customs of the Argolid during the Archaic and Classical periods. The comprehensive, newly created catalogue of all burials in the Argolid provides vital, ideal information for further studies.

Gräber und Nekropolen enthalten eine unerschöpfliche Menge an Informationen über sepulkrale Ritualpraktiken und Jenseitsvorstellungen. Bestattungs- und Beigabensitten erlauben uns, Rückschlüsse auf den Umgang mit dem Tod und den Toten zu ziehen und möglicherweise auch, den sozialen Status der Verstorbenen sowie der Hinterbliebenen und Trauernden zu rekonstruieren.
Mindestens sechs Nekropolenareale gehören zu der Polis Halieis, einer kleinen Stadt an der Südspitze der Argolis, die von ca. 700 – 300 v. Chr. bewohnt war.
Die erstmalig systematische, von Jenny H. Schlehofer unternommene Untersuchung dieser Nekropolen basiert auf der Auswertung US-amerikanischer Grabungen der 1970er Jahre und bietet eine umfassende Rekonstruktion und Interpretation der damaligen Bestattungs- und Beigabensitten sowie eine vollständige Materialvorlage sämtlicher Befunde und Funde.
Die zusätzlichen anthropologischen Analysen an dem Skelettmaterial erlauben geschlechts- und altersspezifische Schlussfolgerungen zu den Sepulkralriten.
Darüber hinaus werden Gräber und Nekropolen der gesamten Argolis in einen regionalen Vergleich mit den Nekropolen von Halieis gestellt und die Ergebnisse zu einem detailreichen Gesamtbild der Bestattungs- und Beigabensitten in der Argolis der archaischen und klassischen Zeit zusammengeführt. Ein umfangreicher, neu erstellter Katalog aller argolischen Gräber bietet überdies beste Voraussetzungen für weiterführende Studien.

CHILD GRAVES FOUND IN NORTHERN NECROPOLIS OF AIZANOI
Abstract: The first excavations in the necropolis of the city of Aizanoi in the Epicetus of
Phrygia was started in 2012 and in the northern necropolis in the north of the theater. These
graves were discovered during the excavations carried out in the northern necropolis between
2012-2017. The graves have the same codes as the others in the necropolis, and according to
the tomb contexts, one of them is AD. The 2nd century BC, one is dated to the 3rd century BC
and the others to the middle of the 1st century BC and to the middle of the 1st century AD.
This period corresponds to the Late Republic and Early Imperial Era, as well as the period in
which urban development activities increased. Death, which is a sociological phenomenon, is
shaped by social relations and burial customs may vary according to social reactions, rituals,
individual, age, and gender, place of residence, society and culture. At this point, the Aizanoi
North Necropolis was built in the 1st and 1st centuries AD. The graves of 17 infants and children
buried between the dates of the date of the grave goods and baby and child death will be tried
to evaluate the perception of the settlement.

Der in der ersten Ausgabe der Winckelmann-Blätter diskutierte Grabbefund aus der Originalsammlung der Klassischen Archäologie der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz umfasst vier Keramikgefäße, drei bronzene Fibeln sowie Armreifen und zwei Gewandnadeln. Anhand der typologischen und funktionalen Einordnung der in das 9. Jh. v. Chr. datierenden Grabbeigaben können soziokulturelle und geografische Details zur bestatteten Person dargestellt werden.

Résumé:
Les amulettes de type égyptien sont largement présentes en Grèce comme en Méditerranée aux époques géométrique et archaïque. Si une grande partie d’entre elles se concentre dans les dépôts d’offrandes de quelques sanctuaires, une quantité non négligeable provient de sépultures. Cet article s’attache à montrer l’intérêt d’une approche comparative, confrontant cette documentation avec des données archéologiques égyptiennes concernant l’utilisation funéraire de ces objets, en particulier auprès des enfants.

Foreløbig præsentation af udgravningen af en overpløjet gravhøj ved Kerteminde, DK. Centralgraven fra PII var en brandgrav i egekiste. Gravudstyret bestod af et grebtungesværd, en bøjlenål delvist af guld, en guldbarre og en klapstol. I sammenhæng med mandsgraven lå en rig kvindegrav. Nord for gravhøjen blev der undersøgt en fladmarksgravplads, hvor mindst 10 personer er gravlagt. Fladmarksgravene kan dateres til PII og gunstige bevaringsforhold har sikret et enestående antropologisk materiale. Mænd, kvinder og børn er gravlagt på pladsen. I flere af gravene lå der muslingeskaller og enkelte havde gravgods bestående af perler lavet at knogle eller muslingeskal. Fundet giver mulighed for at belyse en række aspekter omkring gravskik og sociale forhold i ældre bronzealder.
