The design and instruction of an academic course is the preserve of higher learning institutions. It is for them to take the responsibility to develop their students’ curriculum freely and responsibly, and for the government to keep far away from it." This is the article's viewpoint on the Ethiopian Government's new history module planned as part of core curriculum for higher education institutions, published by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education under the title of “Module for History of Ethiopia And the Horn for HLIS [Higher Learning Institutions Students, [hereinafter “the Module”]”.
