This article studies the financial reform and public administration of the Siamese government during 1900-1910. The objectives of this study were: 1) administration of Siam during the reign of King Rama V, 2) financial reforms during the establishment of the Banknote Department, and 3) political negotiations between the Siamese government and the British colonial government from a monetary perspective. The concept of the article is colonialism, which is consistent with the regional context. The article carried out a series of primary and secondary sources along with historical research. The results of the study show that during the 1900s colonial regimes contributed to the creation of the modern Siamese state. The Siamese government implemented an intensive monetary reform policy, namely the country’s monetary and fiscal reforms, assisted by British colonial servants to organize their finances. At the same time, the process of forming a modern state changed the internal structure of Siam. As a result, the Siamese government sought to create national unity by eliminating the influence of colonial currency in many areas, such as Lanna and Malay. This policy is to strengthen the Baht currency as the national currency. Therefore, the government encourages the distribution of the Baht while implementing a policy to reduce the use of colonial currencies. This article leads to an understanding of the events during the reformation of the country during the reign of King Rama V, which contradicted the plot in the history of Siam by the elite that Siam was invaded by the colonial rulers. This is not so because the study finds that in the context of Southeast Asia, the colonial rulers had contributed to Siam reforming the country through the British colonial servant’s work.

This paper attempts to build a multi variable regression model to predict the GDP growth rate in India using key macroeconomic indicators such as CPI inflation, manufacturing and services purchasing manager's index, interest rates and the price of crude oil. The relationships between GDP and these parameters, as well as their interrelationships are studied in this paper using linear regression models. An attempt is made to understand the relationships and understand the key driving factors for growth.

This is a new popular book by the Modern Money curator at the British Museum, Thomas Hockenhull. I didn't really write a chapter for it but helped Paramdip Khera draft a section on the Rupee which was later revised by Paramdip, Tom, and Leigh Gardner (at the LSE) to become the chapter on the Rupee.
