Preachers

Abstract: In this article, we have confronted the question of Augustinian preaching as a theological locus and a crucible of expression and transmission of a certain spirituality that he draws from its source, which is Christ, the only Master who teaches both the preacher and the faithful. Our study allowed us to show the source of inspiration of the preacher of Hippo, which is precisely the study and meditation of the Holy Scriptures. We also highlighted the humility, the love and the ardent desire to be useful to the salvation of the faithful for which he was responsible. And this characterizes the ministry of Saint Augustine. His prayer, his confessions, and his kindness in preaching, are elements that could always inspire preachers of all times.

Vaaz, İslam tarihi ve kültüründe halkın başta dinî ve ahlakî konularda olmak üzere hemen her konuda eğitilmesinde ve bilinçlendirilmesinde başvurulan en yaygın araçlardan biridir. Vâizlik Hz. Peygamber'den günümüze kadar süregelen bir din hizmeti ve irşad faaliyetidir. Tarih boyunca tüm İslam ülkelerinde olduğu gibi Türkiye Selçuklularında da cari olan dinî kurumlardan biridir. Çalışmamızda bu köklü ve yaygın geleneğin bir parçası olarak XIII-XIV. yüzyıllarda Anadolu'da yaşamış bazı vâizlere ve vâizlik yönleri olan sûfîlere değinilmiştir. Bu kapsamda vâizlerin biyografisine ve vâizliğin kurumsal yapısına ilişkin muasır kayıtlarda geçen veriler bir araya getirilerek analiz edilmiş; özellikle vaaz uygulamalarının dinî ve irfanî hayattaki yeri ve vâizlerle sûfîler arasındaki münasebetlerin mahiyeti üzerinde durulmuştur. Zira bu hususlardaki bilgilerimizin büyük bir çoğunluğunu, başta menâkıbnâmeler olmak üzere, tasavvufî kaynaklara borçluyuz. Konu dönemin diğer İslam beldelerindeki vâizler ve vaaz uygulamalarıyla karşılaştırmalı bir biçimde ele alınmıştır. Bu sayede Türkiye Selçukluları döneminde Anadolu'daki vaaz geleneği hakkında bir fikir edinilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Bu dönemdeki vâizlik kurumuna ve vaaz uygulamalarına baktığımızda, günümüzde olduğu gibi, mübarek gün ve gecelerde de vaazların verildiğini; Osmanlılarda olduğu gibi, cuma vaazlarının cuma namazı öncesi değil de sonrası icra edildiğini; vâizliğin, doğası gereği özellikle tefsir ilmi ile ilişkilendirildiğini; vaazlarda gerçek dışı ve abartılı hikâyelere yer verilmesinin doğru bulunmadığını görüyoruz. XIII-XIV. yüzyıllarda Anadolu'da yaşamış vâizlere ve vâizlik yönleri olan sûfîlere baktığımızda, Türkiye Selçukluları dönemindeki vaaz geleneğinin oluşumunda Türkistan, Mâverâünnehir ve Horasan gibi kadim medeniyet havzalarından göç eden insanların da etkisinin olduğunu görürüz. Nitekim Anadolu söz konusu dönemde ilmî-irfanî açıdan da aynı kaynaklardan beslenmiştir. Ayrıca bu dönemde tasavvuf devlet ve toplumun pek çok kesimini etkisi altına almıştır. Tasavvufî düşüncelerin yayılması ve toplumu etkilemesini sağlayan mecralardan biri de sûfî şeyhlerinin muhtelif mekânlarda gerçekleştirdikleri vaazlardır. Vaaz geleneği hakkında dikkate sunulan bilgiler ve ulaşılan sonuçlar, sûfî ve halk dindarlıklarının karakteristik özelliklerini anlama ve bunları günümüzdekilerle karşılaştırma imkânı sunması açısından da büyük önem arz etmektedir.

RESUMEN Las narraciones ocupan un lugar muy importante en la Biblia y se ofrecen como portado-ras de la revelación de Dios, en el tiempo que va entre los acontecimientos primordiales (cf. Gn. 1-11) y " el fin " (cf. Ap.). ¿Se trata sólo del empleo de un género literario o la na-rración está exigida, de alguna manera, por la experiencia de fe que condensa la Sagrada Es-critura? El autor sostiene la segunda proposición. Después de recordar que la actual es-tructuración de la Biblia refleja un determinado paradigma de la experiencia creyente, ofre-ce un modo de entender qué es " historia " y su relación con la narración, y finaliza descri-biendo brevemente algunos tipos de formas narrativas que se encuentran en el Antiguo Testamento, como vehículo privilegiado para referir " el paso de Dios por la historia ". ABSTRACT Narrations occupy a very important place in the Bible and are presented as carriers of God's revelation, in the time that lies between the primordial events (cf. Gn. 1-11) and " the end " (cf. Ap.). Is this only the use of a literary gender or is narration somehow demanded by the experience of faith that Holy Scripture condenses? The author maintains the second proposition. After noting that the present structure of the Bible reflects a certain paradigm of the believing experience, he offers a way to understand what is " history " and its relationship with narration and concludes by describing briefly some types of narrative forms that are in the Old Testament, as a privileged way of indicating " the passage of God through history " .

This article examines the place and role of anthroponyms in Russian spiritual literature between the late seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The author studies anthroponymicons from different authors, providing classifications of anthroponyms and the number and character of anthroponyms in their works. The formation and peculiarities of the use of anthroponymic proper names in Russian spiritual literature reveals two main tendencies. The first (southwestern) is connected with writers whose works are close to those of Stefan Yavorsky and Dimitry of Rostov. The other (northern) is reflected in works by Feofan Prokopovich, Platon Levshin, and their followers. According to the author, the first tradition is characterised by the extensive use of anthroponyms in texts, a hidden meaning of anthroponyms, the scarce use of simple naming, the absence of charactonyms, and an extensive use of antonomasia and symbolism. It is also characterised by an extensive use of detached anthroponyms to express the authors’ attitude to people, events, and objects. The other tradition is characterised by a considerably smaller number of anthroponyms (from 7 instances in Feofan’s works to 21 in those by Platon). Additionally, the authors do not use the implied meaning of anthroponyms in their texts; their texts contain charactonyms and rarely use antonomasia and symbolism. They mostly use anthroponyms as markers of quality and as parts of idioms. The southwestern tradition is connected with a sacral and mystical understanding of human names originating from the Catholic Hermetic literature of the Renaissance. The northern tradition, on the contrary, is closely connected with Lutheranism, where a human name is treated as purely rational. Therefore, this approach does not imply any mystery when interpreting anthroponyms and or suggest piety when anthroponyms are used to name people, objects, and processes.

Рассматривается вопрос о месте и роли антропонимов в русской духовной литературе конца XVII – XVIII в. Изучаются антропонимиконы нескольких авторов, классификация антропонимов, количество и характер встречаемости антропонимов в их произведениях. Анализ формирования и особенностей основных вариантов использования антропонимических имен собственных в русской духовной литературе выявил две тенденции. Первая (юго-западная) связана с писателями, близкими линии Стефана Яворского и Дмитрия Ростовского. Вторая (северная) нашла выражение в сочинениях Феофана Прокоповича, Платона Левшина и их сторонников. По мнению автора, основными чертами использования антропонимов в рамках первой традиции являются следующие: большое количество антропонимов в текстах произведений; скрытый смысл основной части антропонимов, редкое использование простого обозначения; практически полное отсутствие говорящих имен; широкое использование антономасии и символизма; самый излюбленный прием – использование обособленных антропонимов для выражения собственного отношения авторов к людям, событиям, объектам. Основные черты второй традиции: общее количество антропонимов намного меньше, чем в юго-западной традиции (от семи раз у Феофана до 21 раза у Платона); скрытый смысл антропонимов используется редко; появление «говорящих» имен; редкое использование антономасии и символизма; преимущественное использование антропонимов как маркеров качества в составе крылатых фраз. Юго-западная традиция связана с сакрально-мистическим пониманием имени человека, пришедшим из католико-герменевтической литературы Ренессанса. Северная традиция использования антропонимов в русской духовной литературе тесно связана с лютеранством, где имя человека понимается сугубо рационально; в этом подходе нет никакой мистики в трактовке сущности антропонима, но вместе с тем нет и пиетета перед использованием антропонимов в наименованиях людей, объектов, процессов.
