L'articolo presenta le caratteristiche fondamentali della gara poetica improvvisata logudorese, attraverso lo spettro della comunicazione religiosa dei componimenti "a taulinu" che chiudevano la gara stessa in onore al santo patrono o all'occasione

Mahalaga ang gampanin ng ispiritualidad sa sikolohikal na kalayan ng isang tao (Corrigan, McCorkle, Schell, & Kidder, 2003; Boswell, Kahana, & Anderson, 2006; Powers, Cramer, & Grubka, 2007). Masasalamin ang ispiritualidad ng mga Pilipino sa iba’t ibang nakagawian na nila sa kanilang relihiyon. Sa mga relihiyosong aktibidades ng mga Pilipino, pangkaraniwan na ang magkaroon sila ng isang debosyon depende sa kanilang lugar. Isa sa mga prominenteng debosyon sa Pilipinas sa tradisyon ng Romano Katolikong Kristiyano ay ang debosyon sa Sto. Entierro. Tatalakayin ng kasalukuyang pananaliksik ang isang debosyon sa Pampanga kay Apung Mamacalulu. Ito ay isang debosyon na nakaugnay din sa kamalayan at kultura nating mga Pilipino. Nagsagawa ng sarbey ang mananaliksik upang malaman ang mga ginagawa ng mga deboto sa Shrine ni Apung Mamacalulu. Inalam din ng mananaliksik ang mga rason kung bakit sila nagdedebosyon kay Apu at kung ano ang naidudulot nito sa kanilang buhay. Ginawan ng kwalitatibong analisis ang datos. Pinapakita ng mga resulta na ang mga pumpunta sa Apu ay tinitiyak na mahawakan ang imahen, nagsisimba, nagkukumpisal at nagtitirik din ng mga kandila. Sila ay nagdedebosyon para humingi ng tulong at gabay kay Apu pati na rin ang magpasalamat sa kanya sa mga biyayang natatanggap nila. Ang debosyon ay nagdudulot ng kaginhawaan sa kanilang buhay at mas malakas na pananampalataya. Tinalakay ang mga resulta gamit ang Sikolohiyang at Kamalayang Pilipino.

This serves as a brief catechism in the Filipino language has been featured during the episcopal coronations of the revered images of Nuestra Señora del Carmen de San Sebastian de Pulong Buhangin, Santa Maria, Bulacan last September 8, 2019 and Nuestra Señora del Santisimo Rosario de Hagonoy last October 7, 2019. This has been a fruit of the many attempts to promote the Marian devotions of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Malolos, resulting in these coronations.

This work involves both the catechetical content as well as the pictures of seven Marian images in the Diocese of Malolos that received a coronation:

Canonical Coronation: (1) La Virgen Inmaculada Concepcion de Malolos and (2) La Purisima Concepcion de Santa Maria

Episcopal Coronation: (1) Nuestra Señora de Inmaculada Concepcion de Salambao de Obando, (2) Our Lady of Fatima of Valenzuela City, (3) Nuestra Señora del Carmen de San Sebastian de Pulong Buhangin, (4) Nuestra Señora del Santisimo Rosario de Hagonoy,  (5) Nuestra Señora de las Flores de Bocaue, (6) Madonna Salus Infirmorum of Bulakan, (7) Nuestra Señora de la Asunción de Bulakan, and (8) La Purisima Concepción de Baliuag.

The article discusses the content and language of the collection of paraliturgical hymns compiled by a resident of
the village of Krywiatycze (Bielsk region, Podlasie province) in the period form 1950 until beginning of XXI century.
The collection represents the tradition of handwritten bogoglasniks (hymnbooks), widespread in the area of ethnoconfessional contacts of Catholics and Orthodox or Roman Catholics and Greek Catholics, i.e. the zone of Eastern
Poland and Slovakia, as well as western Belarus and the Carpathian Ukraine. The considered collection of songs, like
many of the bogoglasniks, contains texts of different times of creation - from the XVIII to the middle of the XX century
- and in different languages: Russian, Ukrainian, Church Slavonic, as well as in Russian or Ukrainian with a noticeable
amount of Church Slavonic and Polish lexical and grammatical borrowings. The graphics of the manuscript collection in
question imitate Church Slavonic. The compiler of the collection successively changes spelling standards, reflecting the
phonetics of his own Belarusian dialect of Podlasie.

The aim of the present master thesis was to present a translation experiment, an annotated translation into Greek of Michela Zucca’s article, originally written in Italian, L'eresia delle femmine ribelli - Donne delle foreste e delle montagne, according to the translation strategies proposed in the field of feminist translation theory. The aim of the project was to rupture the dominant discourse, specifically the way in which it contributes to the social construction of female gender identity. Introductory reference was made to the content and publications of the original text, to the auther and her work, to the reasons it was chosen and to the project’s contribution to the Translasion Studies. The broader contexts of translation and gender were then analyzed: the theory of feminist movements, the contribution of Jacques Derrida and feminine writing (écriture féminine). Extensive reference was made to the various components of feminist translation theory, with emphasis on the Quebec School and the translation strategies it suggests. The methodology of the translation process was also presented and specific translation issues were thoroughly examined through the lens of feminist translation.

Στην παρούσα μεταπτυχιακή διατριβή επιχειρήθηκε ένα μεταφραστικό πείραμα, η σχολιασμένη μεταφορά στην ελληνική γλώσσα του, γραμμένου στα ιταλικά, άρθρου, της Michela Zucca, με τίτλο L’eresia delle femmine ribelli – Donne delle foreste e delle montagne,  σύμφωνα με τις μεταφραστικές στρατηγικές που προτείνονται από το θεωρητικό πεδίο της φεμινιστικής μετάφρασης. Σκοπός του εγχειρήματος ήταν η δημιουργία ρωγμών στον κυρίαρχο λόγο και, ειδικότερα, στον τρόπο που αυτός συνδράμει στην κοινωνική κατασκευή της γυναικείας ταυτότητας φύλου. Εισαγωγικά έγινε αναφορά στο περιεχόμενο και στις εκδόσεις του πρωτότυπου κειμένου, στη συγγράφισσά του και στο έργο της, στις αιτίες που επιλέχθηκε και στη συνεισφορά του όλου εγχειρήματος στην Επιστήμη της Μετάφρασης. Στη συνέχεια εξετάστηκαν αναλυτικά οι συγκυρίες της συνάντησης μετάφρασης και φύλου: η θεωρητική έκφραση των φεμινιστικών κινημάτων, η συμβολή του Jacques Derrida και η γυναικεία γραφή (écriture féminine).  Ακόμη έγινε εκτενή αναφορά στις θεωρητικές συνιστώσες της φεμινιστικής μετάφρασης, με έμφαση στην Σχολή του Κεμπέκ, καθώς και στις μεταφραστικές στρατηγικές που προτείνει. Επιπλέον παρουσιάστηκε η μεθοδολογία της μεταφραστικής διαδικασίας και εξετάστηκαν διεξοδικά επιλεγμένα ζητήματα μεταφραστικών προκλήσεων μέσα από εφαρμογές φεμινιστικής μετάφρασης.

Presently there are infinite numbers of popular religious spiritualities, within Christianity and other religions. Many of these expressions are given in contexts that are not necessarily considered as religious by institutionalized religions. However, it is in the midst of this context that people is raising ancestors who can lead and enlighten individuals and communities. This article contributes to understanding the contesting of certain prejudices regarding popular cultures –especially popular religiosity in Argentina– in relation to the well-known Cumbia movement. This movement developed from latino music which has become a beacon for the emerging of new identities and social movements amidst popular sectors of society. The ancestors explored in this article are Gilda and Rodrigo, two Cumbia singers who died tragically in car accidents. Around them new popular religious practices have emerged in order to give meaning and sense to individuals and communities facing the hardships of economic downturns.

I gave a talk about statues and heroes via Zoom to Norwich Pagan Moot on Sunday 5th July 2020. Here's an essay based upon it.

Whilst I personally feel Edward Colston's time had come, most people commemorated by statues had good and bad points. What we need to do is talk about these people, their stories and what they stood for. Then perhaps we will be better able to understand our history and the meaning of the images we display. That is actually so much easier if the statue is in plain sight!

Furthermore, perhaps it’s O.K. to have statues of people, some of whose aspects we find difficult, if we have others to present different characteristics, not just to provide a balance, but a dynamic creative tension.
