Optical Parametric Oscillator/ Amplifier

We designed a nonlinear laser system with an optical parametric oscillator and intracavity sum frequency generation for the emission of 606 nm coherent light with a pump source at 1064 nm. We reached an output power of more than 1 W and a linewidth of 21.9 kHz or 35 kHz, with or without an active PDH stabilization respectively.

A critical review of fiber optical parametric amplifier (FOPA) used in fiber communication is presented. Theoretical framework based on highly efficient for-wave mixing is presented. Applications in the field of telecommunication due to its capability to provide high gain over broad spectrum with negligible interchannel crosstalk are also discussed.
