moreThe thesis shows two main contributions: in the political field, it reflects the debate between personalists (Maritain) and supporters of the priority of the common good (De Konnick) can reach an understanding in the thomistic doctrine; the thesis also shows the impact of this debate in Spain and current international political philosophy. In the legal perspective, this work documents how Louis Lachance is the author who firstly recovers the classic notion of right (ipsa res iusta) for the legal doctrine in 1931.
