moreThe particularity of Bogdan Radenković’s biography lies in its being a true reflection of his time. His life is a true picture of Serbian propaganda in Turkey, starting from his education, studying, professorial work, through his leading role in the revolutionary action, organisation of the Serbian people in the Ottoman Empire, his being tonsured a monk for the sake of love and service for Serbia, participation in the Balkan War, until his death at the Thessaloniki trial. The portrait that we see today was hidden before Radenković’s contemporaries and numerous associates. Turkish authorities glimpsed it in contours, but unsuccessfully tried to clearly shape it. One may say without hesitation – Bogdan Radenković was a secret agent of the Kingdom of Serbia in the Ottoman Empire. From his first school days, his destiny was determined by activities of the Educational-Political Department of the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, whilst he, it seems, serenely accepted his destiny.
