Technology is a problem solving process, however sometimes; it provides solution to one problem but creates side by side others. Automation in building industry on the one side helps in fast working procedures, but on the other hand, use of fossil fuel or thermal electricity rises the level of CO2 in the atmosphere. Technology however has no ultimate end and always undergo in the process of improving. It is helpful in changing the quality of life. Adoption of innovative technology depends on various factors, however technology selected should be appropriate and feasible under the given set of conditions. Now a days, technologies are changing very fast, so selection of technology to be adopted should be done carefully considering all possible futuristic aspects. In this article we will discuss some important aspects related to building construction technologies.

The innovations originated in more than 20 countries, and cover all facets of construction, including design, fabrication, construction, rehabilitation, labor, management, equipment, and materials. From simple tools to complex systems, innovation makes construction of higher quality that is less expensive, safer, more beautiful, less environmentally intrusive, and better understood and accepted. It helps preserve and renew the old and makes the new more enduring, it provides much of the spirit and challenges that excites and rives the great industry. One of the major issues to be addressed when coming to construction is the choice of the appropriate material. An already, classical implementation of the field techniques, widely used for construction is Cement, Steel, Glass, Wood etc are the main components of any construction now a days. In recent years, several emerging high strength materials have attracted enormous attention as potential candidates for construction. High strength steels has been used as main part of building for more than 40 years because of its manufacturability and ability to deliver continued tensile improvements as it has been made ever stronger. The innovations in construction here are such that they have helped us improve quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness of construction.

As human quality of life is directly related to the build-up environment surrounding us, not only it is the quality of life but construction industry also offers basic requirements such as shelters, spaces and infrastructures for doing business to other industries resulting in employment of millions of people around the globe. According to the World Economic Forum the construction industry alone accounts for over 6% of the global GDP and with an average of over 2,00,000 people moving towards world's urban areas daily, the construction industry has revolutionized itself for the modern world as per its requirements through the adoption of latest trends and techniques such as the Drone Surveying, 3-D printing and other eco-friendly techniques like the use of Recycled plastics etc. for the betterment of the society. This study discuss an overview of various innovative advancements through which the construction sector has gone with time, as these advancements and technological developments are mainly compiled on the basis of previous researches and reports.
A large growth in construction market is forecasted. The superior objective in the process of designing and constructing of a building is the building’s energy efficiency. In this work we look at the energy footprint of low technology and high technology buildings. With regard to energy consumption both low technology and high technology build- ing have their limitation. The trend in construction market favours high technology buildings. For the construction of smart homes high technologies are indispensable. However some low technologies should not be let out, as they are important in the development of green buildings (e.g. cellulose). The adoption of high technologies in buildings improves energy consumption and increases also the comfort of individuals within buildings. Still some problems in smart homes (e.g. security vulnerabilities) lead to massive energy losses, which can be diminished through remedy.
Construction is one of the longest-standing industries, yet it has struggled to get good, simple technology on site. Construction is an important sector that contributes greatly in the economic growth of the nation, the construction industry is an investment-led sector where government shows high interest. Government contracts with construction industry to develop infrastructure related to health, transport, as well as education sector. It is very important to choose suitable construction techniques for rapid construction. The main objectives of this project is to compare construction techniques which can help to improve the selection of construction methods for a projects. In this project there is a comparison between MIVAN Technology and Conventional Construction Technology.
