The fourth industrial revolution brings a new paradigm, based on advanced manufacturing and industrial internet. So much has been debated about the knowledge and skills of Operator 4.0. However, the cognitive aspects that are intrinsic to this new paradigm are not considered in these analyses. This work aimed to study the Industry 4.0 under a macro, based on information standardization and technology mapping, and a micro vision focused on cognitive ergonomics. Industry 4.0 attributes pointed to an increasing industry complexity during a technological virtualization process, requiring faster and assertive decisions in the face of a wide range of information. It was found that the Operator 4.0 will oversee the solution of increasingly interdisciplinary problems in a digital environment, requiring denser cognitive efforts and more accurate social-emotional skills, such as communication, motivation, autonomy, perseverance, resilience, collaboration and creativity. The case study pointed out as a highlight the Online Predictive Maintenance, which aims to obtain predictability of failure for each component monitored in machines and equipment. The operating routine linked to this new technology confirms how much mental processes will be required in the face of the Industry 4.0 scenario, since a high flow of information was verified, associated with the rapid decision-making in the use of new technologies.
"Nepal, which is located in the Himalayan region of South Asia, is gifted with rich natural resources including huge rivers, and innumerable rivulets criss-crossing the country and, thus in recent years, has become a favourable site for the development of hydro-power. The construction of tunnels through soft rock is rare in Nepal and this paper gives details of the proposed Kankai hydro-power project, located in eastern Nepal. The scheme which will comprise a dam, intake structure, headrace tunnel and semi-underground powerhouse will be constructed in an area of soft sedimentary rocks in a sequence known as the Siwalik Group of Plio-Pleistocene age. The headrace tunnel, which will be located on the left bank of the Kankai River, will be driven through interbedded sandstones, mudstones and siltstones of the Lower Siwalik Group. The area is seismically active due to the presence of two major regional thrust faults, the Main Boundary Thrust (MBT) to the north and the Himalayan Frontal Thrust (HFT) to the south. Detailed engineering geological and geotechnical investigations were undertaken as part of the feasibility stage of the project the results of which were used to develop a rock mass classification scheme for the project. Boreholes were sunk to obtain rock samples for uniaxial compression tests, triaxial tests, deformability potential tests and for the purpose of undertaking in situ permeability tests. The results indicated the rock formation along the tunnel section to have low shear strength and high deformability potential thus having a rock mass classification of very poor to fair. X-ray diffraction tests were also carried out and confirmed the presence of swelling clay minerals. The results of slope stability analysis of typical slope sections along the tunnel route are also presented in the paper. Finally a guide to excavation methods/techniques and the use of appropriate support systems for the headrace tunnel are presented. "

Primjena relativno velikog broja istraživackih ljestvica procjene rizicnih ponasanja mladih prethodi odluci o odgovarajucim socijalno-zastitnim i odgojnim intervencijama za mlade rizicnog ponasanja.

ABSTRACT In Sri Lanka, learning English as a second language considered indispensable for the undergraduates. The knowledge of formal writing is very important in present global world. However, many of the undergraduates in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages suffer due to their inability to speak the language explicitly. Analyzing more, the university subculture in link with 'Avoid English Usage' (kadda bhawitha nokireema) which considers as the quintessence of the university students appears to play a decisive role in the process of language acquisition. Hence, this study was designed to explore the impact of the university subculture on speaking English as a second language; the effects of Core English Language (CEL) on learner’s oral production is explored. The researches had selected the Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka for the investigation. Questionnaires were used to collect quantitative data whereas; interviews and observations have used as qualitative data. The findings revealed; the university subculture exercises impact negatively on learning English as a second language and the effectiveness of Core English Language was discovered. Further the issues related to the English language and certain institutional shortcomings appeared to facilitate the undergraduates negatively.
