Resumo: Na lírica, a Máquina do Mundo é um tema recorrente, representa as indagações do homem sobre os mistérios que o cercam, diferentes visões poéticas que revelam as crenças, as formas de convivência, os conhecimentos científicos da época em que foram produzidas. Neste artigo, pretendemos analisar o diálogo estabelecido entre esta tradição e a poesia a caminho de Claudia Roquette-Pinto, publicado na obra zona de sombra (1997).
