My pursuit to study and learn from the Quran continues on well. Currently, I am studying the basic grammatical aspects of the Quran. The Corpus Quran is an excellent educational resource in this regard. In addition to the word-by-word translation, the website also provides basic grammatical analysis of the Quranic words. Studying the Quran from the Corpus Quran website requires one to be online. A couple of years ago, I started compiling PDF documents from this website so I can avail them without having to be online. Scrolling the PDF document is also much easier than it is online. Essentially it involved cropping small sections from the website and pasting and formatting them into a Word document with proper labeling and then converting the Word document into a PDF document. I have used “maqra” (about one-eighth of a Juz of the Quran) as the primary unit and most of the individual documents contain two maqra each (in a few adjustments are made to accommodate the Surah). The academia website only allows to upload documents individually. So, I will have to load each PDF file separately. Once all the PDFs are complete, I plan to upload them to the Archive.org website all together or in 2-3 parts if the website allowed me to do so (InshaAllah, by the end of 2024). You should be able to find the link by searching the website for "Quran Word by Word Grammar". Thank you very much.

Text of Quran has been served in many forms. Recent attempts have presented such serves in corpus form. However no previous attempt made to deal with multiword in Quran in corpus form. This paper is based on presenting multiword corpus of Quran based on roots of the word rather than the word itself. This combines the relations between same words in addition to other words with common roots. This enriches the corpus since Arabic language word structure is based on root of the word. This corpus should enable future research in going deep in analyzing Quran ontology, Arabic language studies and inter relations between Quran and other Islamic resources, e.g. Hadith, Fiqh, Usool etc.
—Evaluating the translations of the Qur’ān can be an effective way of improving the quality of its translations. Having such a goal in mind, the present researchers have pinpointed the English translations of four syntactic patterns in the Qur’ān. The corpus of the study included the translations by two British translators of the Qur’ān, Arberry (1955) and Pickthall (1930), and two Iranian translators i.e. Saffarzadeh (2007) and Iranpanah (1380). The study was based on a descriptive-analytic methodology and adopted a traditional approach to source text syntactic analysis. Finally, a comparison was made between the translations of the two groups of the translators qualitatively and quantitatively followed by an elaboration on the types and origins of the mistranslations.

The Qur’an, the holy divine book of Muslims, was revealed over fourteen centuries ago, in Arabic. With the rise of Islam, the Arabic language gained popularity and became the lingua franca for large swaths of the old world. Devout Muslims read the Qur’an on a daily basis seeking guidance and comfort. Though Qur’an, as a text, is short, there is a huge volume of supporting work filling tens of thousands of volumes, e.g., commentaries, exegesis, etc. Recently, there has been a renewed interest by non-specialists. Many of which were fueled by the recent advances in computational and natural language processing (NLP) techniques. These techniques help the development of tools that benefit common people to gain guidance and knowledge easily. This paper aims to survey the different efforts behind the field of Qur’anic NLP. The research work varies from automated morphological analysis to correction of Qur’anic recitation via speech recognition. Multiple approaches have been discussed for a...
