[2024] Une série festive du milieu du règne de Postume, dévoilée par des antoniniens d’imitation2024 •
Most studies of ritual and symbolism in early complex societies of the Near East have focused on elite and/or public behavioural domains. However, the vast bulk of the population would not have been able to fully participate in such public displays. This paper explores the zooarchaeological and associated archaeological evidence for household rituals in lower-stratum residences in the Early Bronze Age (EB) of the southern Levant. Data from the EB III (c. 2850–2550 BCE) deposits excavated at the site of Tell eṣ-Ṣâfi/Gath, Israel, are illustrative of the difficulty in identifying the nature of household rituals. An integrated analytical approach to the architecture, figurines, foundation deposits, and domestic donkey burials found in lower-stratum domestic residences provides insights into the nature of household rituals. This integrated contextual perspective allows the sacred and symbolic role(s) of each to be understood and their importance for EB urban society to be evaluated.

The Open Access Availability of Articles from Highly Ranked Religious Studies Journals: A Study of Ten Journals2018 •
This article explores the current state of open access (OA) scholarship from highly ranked journals covering religious studies. To examine the state of OA scholarship from journals of religious studies, the OA availability of articles from ten peer-reviewed journals were examined. Using the SCImago Journal & Country Rank, a portal that includes the journals and country scientific indicators developed from the information contained in the Scopus® database, the ten most highly rated journals in mid-2015, according to the SJR indicator, were selected for evaluation. Articles that appeared in the journal volumes published in 2014 were selected for analysis, and were identified through online research databases and journal websites that provided bibliographic information. Only articles and essays dealing with research were included. A total of 377 articles were included in the study. Of the 377 articles examined, OA versions were found for 132 (35 percent) of them. Approximately one third of articles (33.3 percent) were located in multiple locations, with more than half of all OA articles found (53.0 percent) in either repositories, or, on the social networking sites ResearchGate.net or Academia. edu. Of the total number of OA articles found, 87 (65.9 percent) were found by both Google and Google Scholar, and 43 (32.6 percent) were found by only Google or Google Scholar, but not both. The results indicate that religious studies journal scholarship is not widely self-archived and made available as OA as a regular practice. Results also indicate that those scholars who publish in journals covering religious studies and who do embrace open access make strong use of either institutional or subject repositories and/or social networking sites to make their scholarship openly available. Finally, results indicate that using both Google and Google Scholar to search for OA religious studies journal scholarship yields better results than only using Google or Google Scholar.

Quelques remarques sur la constitution des bibliothèques au Maroc.2023 •
the aim of the present paper is to polemize with professor Jerzy Kolendo’s views on the localization and identification of the tribe of Buri, whom the researcher mentioned above connects with the branch of the Lugii called the Lugii Buri and situates them on the present-day boarder territory of Romania, the Ukraine and Slovakia. The author of the present paper has formulated several counter-arguments against such a move. He, for example, excludes the possibility of connecting the Lugii Buri with the Buri, if only because of the distance separating these two tribes which distance was due to the fact that Lugii Buri lived near the “western” and not “eastern” springs of the Vistula. Similarly, the ascribing of the Przeworsk culture in the territory of the river basin of the upper Tisza must be questioned because, in keeping with Tacitus’ statement, they belonged, like the Marcomanni, Naristi and Quadi to the Suebian tribes and created the northeasternly flank. Following this thesis, the author quotes the data of the settlement marked on the map by J. Beljak. The conclusion drawn from them remains compatible with the result of the analysis of the written sources and it allows, in a fairly certain method to localize the Buri in the upper river-basin of Ipola, directly to the north of the Mátra mountains.

The world around us is undergoing complete metamorphosis, which is boosted by the population explosion and technological expansion. The problem is more severe for India which has more towns which have to be transformed in to large cities to accommodate its ever-increasing population. In this study an analysis is done by using ARC-GIS (geographic information system) where map of the region was analyzed for recognizing the distribution of land use types throughout the area; land types considered are-Forest, Agricultural, Industrial, Residential, Water bodies. This analysis was performed for three years: 2005, 2010 and 2015. Results obtained show that the area of barren land, forest and agricultural land is continuously decreasing and that of residential land is rapidly increasing because of increase in demand. Maps were again analyzed using Buffer analysis in which Acharya vihar was chosen as the point of interest and multiple circle buffer analysis was performed to study the spread o...
