Statement of purpose

This paper examines the connection of memories to emotions as they were transmitted by chroniclers through narratives. Emotional memories played a significant role in the recollection of some brutal events connected to ecclesiastical policies in eastern Saxony and across the Elbe, where the so-called Wends lived. The paper focuses on the interactions of cognition and emotion. It shows that emotional memories were not only rhetorical devices, but also didactic tools in the process of creation of Wendish idolatry as a Christian construct of a socioreligious identity. Certain negative events from the past placed within theological frameworks were intended to provoke hostile emotional responses towards the Wends. Preserving memory on ecclesiastical matters, with faith and obedience as central elements of identification, was an ethical mission of all those in charge of writing history, usually clergymen.

Latar Belakang Dalam situasi keadaan Darurat bencana sering terjadi kegagapan pananganan dan kesimpang siuran informasi dan data korban maupun kondisi kerusakan, sehingga mempersulit dalam pengambilan kebijakan untuk penanganan darurat bencana. Sistem Koordinasi juga sering kurang terbangun dengan baik, Penyaluran bantuan, distribusi logistic sulit terpantau dengan baik sehingga kemajuan kegiatan penanganan tanggap darurat kurang terukur dan terarah secara obyektif. Situasi dan kondisi di lapangan yang seperti itu disebabkan belum terciptanya mekanisme kerja Pos Komando dan Koordinasi Tanggap Darurat Bencana yang baik, terstruktur dan sistematis. Dalam kondisi Kedaruratan Bencana diperlukan sebuah institusi yang menjadi pusat Komando dan Koordinasi kedaruratan bencana sesuai dengan lokasi dan tingkatan bencana yang terjadi. Pos Komando dan Koordinasi Tanggap Darurat Bencana dapat dilengkapi dengan PosKo Lapangan Tanggap Darurat Bencana dengan gugus tugas yang terdiri dari unit kerja yang saling terkait dan merupakan satu kesatuan system yang terpadu dalam penanganan Kedaruratan bencana.

This paper describes the high-resolution survey of the archaeological site of Nora (Sardinia, Italy) using the aerophotogrammetric technique. The survey was conducted in October 2021 on a 14-hectare peninsula located in the Gulf of Cagliari. Previous attempts to survey the area, aside from the 1 metre/pixel LIDAR survey carried out by the Region of Sardinia, have been hampered by the challenges posed by the size of the area and the costs involved. The Digital Terrain Model was obtained from the 3D model created with the Agisoft Metashape© software by removing the buildings and the vegetation. The segmentation process was carried out using Cloud Compare and the resulting DTM was then analysed using the geomorphological analysis tools provided by QGIS. The seabed DTM was obtained through several survey campaigns between 2013 and 2015, using the same software. The terrestrial DTM was merged with the seabed DTM, resulting in a comprehensive 3D and 2D model of the peninsula and its surroundings. The final DTM was printed with rapid prototyping technologies to explore its potential use as a tactile model for promotion and dissemination in the field.

According to Turkish scholar Tayyar Altikulac (Altıkulaç 2007), the Topkapi manuscript could not connect to Uthman (p.78-80), because of the diacritics, even though they are few and inconsistently applied (p.78). This indicates a later development in the text (p.78-79). Altikulac also notes that it contains many copyist mistakes (p.80). If an argument is made that the diacritic dots do not carry any substantial weight in the interpretation of the ancient Qur’anic manuscripts, Cornell University Professor of Arabic, Munther Younes, proves otherwise. According to Younes, (Younes 2019), changing the diacritic dots on four words in the standard Qur’an can help make sense of a passage that is notoriously difficult.

Wastewater managers around the world have the responsibility to ensure that the effluent that is eventually released into the environment does not degrade the quality of the recipient water bodies. Attaining sustainability in wastewater management is top in the of Sustainable Development Goals’ Agenda. All in all, the realization of a more sustainable wastewater management will require a highly holistic and balanced approach in evaluating a particular management strategy's overall sustainability.
