AAD Cares: Community Outreach Programs

The American Academy of Dermatology is committed to improving the lives and health of people across the country.

Learn how the AAD is building shade structures to protect kids from the damaging effects of the sun, educating children and adults about the importance of skin care, providing access to dermatologic care, and saving lives through free screenings to detect skin cancer early when it’s most treatable.

Ways to give

Stephen P. Stone, MD, FAAD
Annual Fund

“Our philanthropic support allows the AAD to go beyond what dues alone can accomplish. From camp for kids, to helping residents attend our meetings, our donations benefit both our specialty and the recipients.” - Stephen P. Stone, MD, FAAD

Daniel D. Bennett, MD, FAAD
Monthly giving

“The AAD does a lot for us, our patients, and our specialty. Two years ago I joined the AAD Friends Circle, the AAD’s monthly donation program. I like giving back to programs and services that make a difference.” - Daniel D. Bennett, MD, FAAD

David C. Adams, MD, FAAD
Tribute

“It is a privilege to be a dermatologist. When you stop to consider the many ways that dermatology has made our own lives better, what a simple gesture it is to give back and to help those in need.” - David C. Adams, MD, FAAD

Stephen B. Webster, MD, FAAD
Planned giving

“I have included the AAD in my will. I consider it an honor to offer support which will continue the work of the Academy into the future. It is meaningful to continue to support our Academy after we are gone.” - Stephen B. Webster, MD, FAAD

Joy B. Chastain, MD, FAAD
Adopt-a-Shade

“It has been a privilege and an honor to team up with the AAD’s Adopt-a-Shade program. If we can increase awareness and use of this program, imagine how many skin cancers we can prevent.” - Joy B. Chastain, MD, FAAD
