WebKit Features in Safari 18.6

This update to Safari is the seventh release of Safari 18.x. WebKit includes four bug fixes:

Rendering

  • Fixed style invalidation for :has(+:popover-open). (149794951)

WKWebView

  • Fixed a crash at launch in iOS Simulator for apps built for older deployment targets that bind to specific WebKit API. (152342621)

Web Extensions

  • Fixed loading a web accessible resource from a subframe at about:blank. (149971391)
  • Fixed 'allowAllRequests' for declarativeNetRequest. (151015324)

Updating to Safari 18.6

Safari 18.6 is available on iOS 18.6, iPadOS 18.6, macOS Sequoia 15.6, macOS Sonoma, macOS Ventura, and in visionOS 2.6. To get the latest version of Safari on iPhone, iPad or Apple Vision Pro, go to Settings > General > Software Update, and tap to update.

If you are running macOS Sonoma or macOS Ventura, you can update Safari by itself, without updating macOS. Go to  > System Settings > General > Software Update and click “More info…” under Updates Available.
