El presente articulo es parte de una investigacion mas extensa en el area de la comprension del discurso oral. Partiendo de teorias fundacionales en psicologia cognitiva (e.g. Control Adaptativo del Comportamiento o ACT de Anderson); las teorias de procesamiento de texto (e.g. Van Dijk; 1994; Van Dijk & Kintsch; 1983) y las teorias pragmatico-cognitivas de la interpretacion de significados implicitos en enunciados no literales (e.g. Sperber & Wilson); elaboro un modelo teorico de procesamiento cognitivo que da cuenta de la manera como los hablantes logran entender el significado no literal en el discurso oral; y formar hipotesis acerca de este mediante procesos inferenciales. The essay explores the latest poetry of Juan Ramón Jiménez, and the many ways it differs from Jiménez' earlier works. It also shows how Jiménez since 1940 became a postmodern poet because his views of the world were that of a person who understood the world of relativity and the human limitations from a cosmic perspective.

Este artículo estudia  las características principales que comparten numerosas novelas históricas en la actualidad. En todas ellas se da un  viaje hacia zonas interiores de la psique del narrador para encontrar un asidero de esperanza en medio del horror, de la violencia y destrucción  que imperan en la historia de cualquier parte del mundo y que aún persisten en el presente.

Hay  una cuestión moral de fondo y unos fines específicos en esta nueva novela histórica que persigue esclarecer situaciones donde las secuelas de la violencia pasada continúan vigentes, aunque no sean completamente evidentes. Secuelas tales como los abusos de la mentira, la crueldad hacia otras personas o animales, la arbitrariedad de la justicia, los prejuicios raciales, la importancia del qué dirán, la forma de afrontar el dolor, la venganza o el anonimato.
Así las últimas novelas de Javier Cercas, Antonio Muñoz Molina, y Javier Marías: El impostor, Como la sombra que se va y Así empieza lo malo, respectivamente. Publicadas en 2014 y elegidas por Babelia entre las diez mejores novelas españolas de 2014.

Javier Cercas contributes with some new and fine understanding of the relationship between fiction and history. In this essay three "relatos reales" (real stories) by Cercas are analyzed to show how the historical novel during the last decades has become more encompassing than ever before. The novels studied are:  Soldados de Salamina, La velocidad de la luz y Anatomía de un instante.
