Piero Calosi
My main research focus is the investigation of invertebrates' physiological and life-history responses, and the determination of their scope for further adaptation, to multiple global environmental drivers: e.g. warming, acidification, changes in salinity and de-oxygenation.
I work from larvae to adults using laboratory natural selection experiments and in situ translocations to compare strains and populations, in order to understand species ability to adapt to rapid environmental changes.
