In support of this call, I would like to present a survey that chaplains or directors of chaplaincy programs might eventually use to assess the quality of corporate chaplaincy services.

In particular, the instrument is developed for use in organizational performance and change settings. Existing approaches to accessing and assessing mental models are reviewed, and the conclusion is drawn that none are survey-based, quantitative measures useful in organizational settings.

The function outputs a list of two tables. The first table lists the commonality coefficients and the percentage of variance associated with each effect. The second table provides a total of the unique and common effects for each independent variable.

It is also common for interpretation of results to typically reflect overreliance on beta weights (cf. Courville & Thompson, 2001; Nimon, Roberts, & Gavrilova, 2010; Zientek, Capraro, & Capraro, 2008), often resulting in very limited interpretations of variable importance. It appears that few researchers employ other methods to obtain a fuller understanding of what and how independent variables contribute to a regression equation.

A total of 109 managers, from a large public utility company located in the northeast, completed the Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test (MSCEIT), and 525 direct-report employees completed the Leader Action Profile (LAP) assessment.

While most are familiar with the concept of military and hospital chaplains, few recognize the role chaplains serve in government entities including police stations, fire departments, and educational institutions. Even fewer are familiar with the notion that chaplains provide employee care in companies ranging from Pepsi-Co and Tyson's to local fastfood franchises and banks.

Although standardized function and structure coefficients provide insight into the canonical variates produced, they fall short when researchers want to fully report canonical effects. This article revisits the interpretation of CCA results, providing a tutorial and demonstrating canonical commonalty analysis. Commonality analysis fully explains the canonical effects produced by using the variables in a given canonical set to partition the variance of canonical variates produced from the other canonical set. Conducting canonical commonality analysis without the aid of software is laborious and may be untenable, depending on the number of noteworthy canonical functions and variables in either canonical set. Commonality analysis software is identified for the canonical correlation case and we demonstrate its use in facilitating model interpretation. Data from Holzinger and Swineford (1939) are employed to test a hypothetical theory that problem-solving skills are predicted by fundamental math ability.

Although much effort has gone into bolstering the post-secondary nursing education pipeline, this article postulates that the pipeline begins with career development in K-12 schools. This article provides information that nurses in staff development positions can use to advance the nursing profession through career development.

The history of hierarchical linear models generally traces its roots back to the work of Robinson (1950) in recognizing contextual effects. The discovery that Robinson made is sometimes thought of as the “frog pond” theory and is fairly simple to relate. Suppose that a researcher was conducting an analysis on environmental factors affecting the weight of frogs. And also suppose that two of the frogs being analyzed both weighed 500 grams. However, the first frog that weighed 500 grams was drawn from a pond where it ...

Readers will learn what measurement invariance is and how to test for its presence using techniques that are accessible to applied researchers. Using data from a LibQUAL+TM study of user perceptions of service quality, we demonstrate how measurement invariance
