Citizen science projects are valuable tools since they provide substantial amounts of data on different animal species. Currently, there are a wide variety of platforms and objectives for diverse citizen science projects. Despite these advances, the approaches and contributions of citizen science platforms for collecting data on a particular species, and in a specific site or region, have been poorly explored. Thus, in this article, we compare the number of participants and the amount of data collected by three platforms on the Toco toucan (Ramphastos toco) in San Salvador de Jujuy city, located in northwestern Argentina. Extensive cattle ranging is an important economic activity in mountains, with diverse effects on native mammal communities. The effects of cattle Bos taurus can be negative, positive or neutral, mostly depending on the stocking rate. We examined the effect of cattle on the diversity and abundance of native mammalian species in the Austral Yungas region of Argentina, considering environmental variables, land protection status, and human influence. Using 12,512 trap-nights from 167 camera-trap stations over 11 years (2009–2019), we calculated a relative abundance index using camera events and used generalized linear models to estimate the effect of cattle on small mammals, large herbivores, species of conservation concern and felids. Las ciudades son sistemas heterogéneos y dinámicos que pueden ofrecer nuevos espacios y disponibilidad de recursos que la comunidad de aves podría aprovechar. Por esta razón, es importante estudiar las aves presentes en los sistemas urbanos. En este trabajo, se analiza la composición y variación estacional de la comunidad de aves en la ciudad de San Salvador de Jujuy, noroeste de Argentina. Desde julio de 2021 hasta abril de 2022, se seleccionaron 44 sitios de muestreo en diferentes áreas de la ciudad, abarcando las diferentes estaciones del año. Se registraron 8675 individuos pertenecientes a 36 Familias y 124 especies de aves. Las especies más abundantes a lo largo del muestreo fueron Columba livia, Passer domesticus, Sicalis flaveola, Pitangus sulphuratus, Furnarius rufus, Molothrus bonariensis y Psittacara mitratus. Localidad Republica Argentina, provincia de Jujuy, departamento El Carmen, ruta nacional N° 9 (24°26’6.77”S; 65°17’59.86”W; altitud: 1252 m s.n.m). Colectores M. S. Akmentins, M. F. Quiroga y N. Gonzalez. Ejemplar hembra adulto hallado termorregulando sobre la carpeta asfaltica a las 17:30 hs del dia 01 de junio de 2015. El ejemplar fue removido del ambiente natural y se mantiene en cautividad.
