The correlations between economic and social developments and the state of ill-being of populations have long been demonstrated. Today, negative environmental factors such as climate change, war and health crises have consequences on populations. Regardless of gender or age, more and more people are suffering from stress, of which there are many effects. According to studies, stress is an emotional response resulting from human–environmental interaction. They define stress as a state of discomfort and tension caused by external factors. This author believes that stress has a negative impact, which leads to frustration and increased difficulty in addressing issues. Authors describes stress as a physical and psychological state experienced by someone facing a real or potential. For students, stress can be caused by a number of factors. Some of these may include how the university functions, exam periods, relationships with teachers, ...

For many years, sport has become a symbol for what multiculturalism means. Sport is a global phenomenon, put into action by individuals from all over the world and watched everywhere. This article aims to address the issue of cultural intelligence in sport. Using the fsQCA method, this article shows the extent to which the four dimensions of cultural intelligence influence the adaptation of athletes to a new specific cultural context. Specifically, based on a questionnaire, it was analyzed how foreign athletes adapt in France and Romania. Although the work is done on a sample of athletes, the results could be extrapolated to other types of organizations.

Moreover, these cultural differences are noticeable even within a group of people of the same nationality. At the same time, lately there are more and more bicultural individuals, who belong simultaneously to different cultures. Nowadays, sport has an enormous impact on society, being an extremely popular phenomenon on a global scale and which has become a business in which huge sums are spent. Sport can have both a unifying effect, bringing together different individuals, but at the same time it can emphasize cultural differences and deep ethnic differences. All these arguments justify the increased interest in multiculturalism in general, and in multiculturalism in sport in particular. Using SPSS software, this study proposes a quantitative co...

Over time it has been shown that sport offers important benefits to society. Among the most important values transmitted through sport, including the cultivation of team spirit, the promotion of national identity, respect for the values of others or other benefits such as stimulating investments, trade or tourism. In addition, due to the fact that sport is a global phenomenon, athletes have become role models for young people, and in some cases they are negative examples due to their behavior. In Romania, sports management was largely led after the Revolution by oligarchs trying to obtain besides financial benefits, political power too. The lack of long-term vision and the poor results of the last period are reflected in the fact that the young Romanians do not have as a Romanian sports model

Thus, the need arises to understand the way people think and behave. Culture influences people's thought processes and behaviour, which reflect into every aspect of life. Cultural differences can be explained by means of the cultural dimensions developed by Geert Hofstede in his works, one of these dimensions being long-term orientation. Long-term orientation has been associated with economic growth. Based on an empirical research, our study aims to highlight which of the cultural values associated with long-term and short-term orientation are predominant in Romanian culture. The results show an intermediate score of 53, close to Hofstede's estimates (52), on a scale from 0 to 100 between shortterm orientation and long-term orientation. Following the Chi square statistical test, we found a positive correlation between the respondents' level of education and the preferences for the values associated with the long-term orientation.

Using a sample of 120 graduates from a Romanian business school, the results from configurational framework (based on regression analyses) reveal that knowledge transfer is explained by engagement in business simulations and working environment culture. However, findings highlight no correlation between acquired knowledge through business simulations and knowledge transfer. We have also employed fsQCA (fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis), which reveals that engagement in business simulations, working environment culture, and acquired knowledge on business simulations are adequate conditions for knowledge transfer. This study sheds light on a new resear...

Like every single business, sports organizations need to manage their human resources, but is sport human resources different from others fields of activity? In sport organizations the things are really different because a team full of stars cannot create a group and they cannot achieve the expected results. Nowadays, sports team management is more complicated because of the globalization. The mobility of the workforce made that intercultural contacts are more often than before and managers have to adapt to this interculturality in their teams. The concept of intercultural management is a hot issue in many countries all over the world. Many people do not give importance to this aspect, but intercultural education is more and more important. This paper emphasizes a case study aiming to illustrate the cross-cultural issues in the case of Sven-Göran Eriksson who is ranked as...
