One of the common mixing devices is a vertical stirred mixer which uses a tank and a vertical shaft that rotate mixing blades. This research is done to get the effect of the blade’s number and angle inclination due to mixing performance. Mixing performance is defined as stretching and folding. The research is done by experiment. The blade’s number varies as 2, 3 and 4 blades. Blade’s inclination is varied as 90o, 80o, 70o and 60o. The blades are rotated 10 rpm. A cylinder with 18 cm diameter and 12 cm height use as mixing tank. White wall paint is used as mixing material. Black wall paint uses a tracker. Mixing processes are observed by a camera on top of the mixer. The mixing processes are arranged for 2 mixer shaft rotations. Video data are captured frame by frame and analyzed using image software. One of the factors that influence the performance is the filling components. This research is aimed to get the effect of buffle’s shape and configuration due to cooling tower performance. The cooling tower performance is described with range, heat transfer rate, and efficiency. The research is done by an experiment using laboratory scale cooling tower. The shape is varied as circle and triangle with 2-3 and 3-2 in a row configuration. The water flow rate is adjusted with 3 valve opening. Water temperature inlet is varied as 50, 60 and 70oC. The measurements are taken for inlet and outlet water and air temperature for 3 times measurements using K-type thermocouples. Poly(p-phenylene benzobisthiazole) (PBT) is a rigid-rod polymer of interest for high-strength fib... more Poly(p-phenylene benzobisthiazole) (PBT) is a rigid-rod polymer of interest for high-strength fibers and other applications including nonlinear optical behavior. PBT fibers are formed by coagulation into water from solutions of the molecule in strong acid. Because of the high orientation and strength of these fibers, the nature of boundaries and defects between crystalline regions is of particular scientific and technical concern.The crystal structure of PBT fibers has been investigated by electron and X-ray diffraction. It has been found that the unit cell is monoclinic with a =.59 nm, b =.36 nm, c =1.249 nm, gamma =95.5 degrees. The molecules are oriented along the c axis of the unit cell and exhibit axial translational disorder in both the [100] and [010] directions.PBT is resistant to electron beam damage, having a critical dose of 1.6 Coulombs/cm2 at 100 kV and room temperature.

Buruknya infrastruktur dan keterbatasan akses ke bengkel service yang cukup jauh membuat masyarakat terkadang nekat memperbaiki sendiri kendaraan yang rusak dengan keterampilan seadanya. Kondisi ini memberikan dampak terhadap semakin menurunnya performa sepeda motor. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan memberikan pelayanan langsung ke masyarakat. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan layanan service gratis sepeda motor pada masyarakat di Desa Pesucen, disisi lain juga sebagai upaya dalam melatih mahasiswa untuk mengenal wirausaha di bidang otomotif terutama jasa service kendaraan bermotor. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan tingginya antusias masyarakat untuk mengakses layanan service gratis. Di sisi lain, mahasiswa memiliki kemampuan dalam melakukan service ringan dengan memanfaatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang diperoleh di kampus. A roof installation with an inclination angle is done in order to the rain water is easy to flow. Rainfall causes noise that has a bad impact to human. This research is aimed to obtaining the effect of inclination angle of zinc and plastic roofs on the noise intensity. The research was done experimentally. The roofs investigated consist of zinc and plastic roofs in waveforms. A room with an overall size of 80 cm x 80 cm x 150 cm was made of wood as the frame. The inclination angles were varied; 10 o , 20 o , 30 o and 40 o. The rainfall was modeled by a sprayer with three different water flow rates 0,8; 1,0 and 1,2 lt/s. These flow rates represented low, medium and heavy rains. The noise intensity was measured using a sound level meter, which was placed in the centre of the room. The result shows that increasing the roof inclination angle causes the noise intensity to decrease. The plastic roof has lower noise intensity than the zinc roof. Furthermore, the experimental noise intensity data are relatively safe according to the noise safety level.
