The concept that " believers " go straight to heaven, after death, must be challenged. If the book of revelations tells us that God will open a book and judge each of us individually, how can we go straight to heaven without being judged? Has the sealed books already been opened, thus allowing all believers to instant be judged upon death? If not, then the next question we must ask is, " Where do we go or wait until we are to be judged? " When did God give this command? DANIEL 12:1-2 (KJV) : " And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. " In the Book of Daniel, deliverance takes a different form. DANIEL 12:1-2 (NIV) : " There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered. 2 Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake:some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. Paul Fussell’s A guide through the American status system, outlines the socioeconomic traits of nine social classes in 1980’s America. The characteristics of each class, according to Fussell, created a timeless perspective that persists today. The upper-middle class continues to be employed in white collar jobs, while the low proletariat continues to live below the poverty line.

Before June 6, 2015, the day Donald Trump descended a golden escalator to announce his Candidacy for President of the United States, media coverage of immigrant communities was rooted in facts. Since the inauguration of Donald Trump, media outlets have skewed the facts--relating to immigrant communities--based on the political ideology of their viewers. By analyzing archived Google news articles from seven media outlets (PBS, CNBC, NBC NEWS, CBS NEWS, FOX NEWS, MSNBC, and CNN), I will provide evidence that reporting on immigrant communities has changed. To further quantify the differences or similarities between immigrant communities and native-born Americans, I will use data from the United States Census Bureau to compare and contrast seven variables within immigrant communities and native-born Americans. The seven variables (In Married-couple family, High School graduate, some college or Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, Graduate or Professional Degree, Employed, and Unemployed) are often cited as positive attributes of native-born Americans; but  the same variables mentioned above have a negative connotation when used in concert with immigrant communities.

Like many cultures that suffered the events of colonization, Haitians have a deep connection to the spiritual realm. As a result of the incredible religious conviction expressed by Haitians, the diaspora often prays feverishly, to whatever deity they worship. What happens to Haitians that are not having their prayers answered? How does the stigma surrounding mental health manifest when prayer isn't working? The results of the research illustrate a stigma towards mental health professionals still exists within the Haitian community, but many respondents are actively combating that stigma and promoting the importance of mental health. All of the results of this research are in easy to read pie charts, allowing quick interpretation of the data. The goal of this research is to start a dialogue surrounding mental health within the Haitian community.
