Graduated in Journalism, with Master in Communication,PhD in Information Science and post-doctorate in Regional Geography, I'm a professor of the Undergraduate Course in Journalism and the Master's Course in Communication at the Federal University of Sergipe (in the Northeast Region of Brazil). In addition, I coordinate the research group Geographies of Regional Communication and I am a founding member of the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Environmental Communication (LICA)

It is an approach guided by the “geography of movement”, as Brazilian geographer Milton Santos would say, also named “geography of circulation”, traditionally responsible for studies on the movement of goods, people, ideas and information. The objective was to draw attention to the possible routes for the spread of the virus, from its arrival in Brazil (at an uncertain time by an unidentified person) to its still growing, but very uneven, spread throughout the national territory.
