Reiner Perozzo
I am a tenured professor at the Department of Modern Languages, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS, Brazil), and a member of three research groups: [1] Laboratório de Bilinguismo e Cognição (LABICO, UFRGS); [2] Núcleo de Pesquisa em Fonética e Fonologia Aplicada à Língua Estrangeira (NUPFFALE, UFSC); and [3] Laboratório de Ciências da Fala (LAFALA, UFBA). I hold an academic Licentiate Degree (2011) in Letters from Universidade do Planalto Catarinense, a Master’s Degree (2013) and a Doctor's Degree (2017) - both in Language Studies - from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. I carry out research in Psycholinguistics, with a particular focus on the perception of non-native speech. I have experience in English Language Teaching (ELT), and my research interests include Phonetics, Phonology, and Philosophy of Perception.
