Although the relation between business successes and social development is not always obvious but can be similar to the process of seeking a balance between challenges and opportunities. An increasing number of enterprises understand the importance of socially responsible activities and their role in building a common WE based state. The result of such an approach is the fact that enterprises take into account all stakeholders' interests and this became a permanent element of their strategies. This paper presents the literature review of fundamental concepts for the WE. Then two ideas the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Creating Shared Values (CSV) as the key elements of WE are presented and compared. Finally, scientific consideration is supported by an illustrative case study of a Japanese company operating in Poland, which leads towards conclusions. The main finding of this paper is a recommendation for companies to treat CSV as the next stage of development after they implemented CSR oriented strategies.

This kind of management can be observed on the different levels of economy, national and regional. Its assessment can be based on secondary data collected from the companies and presented by the national statistical offices. The chapter presents the idea of green management in the regional development context. This chapter aims to examine the role of green management in the context of sustainable development and use quantitative tools to solve contemporary problems of green management from the perspective of modern economics. In the first part of this chapter, green management as an element of the green economy is discussed. Next, to the quantitative, a qualitative—descriptive method was used. Therefore, this paper attempts to provide a basic overview of the concept of green management at the introductory le...

This is also important for the university performance assessment, when its graduates can easily find job on the labour market. The information about graduates' matching their qualifications and fields of studies versus undertaken employment, create an important set of data for future students and employers to be analysed. Additionally, there is business environment pressure to transform work places and whole organizations towards more green and sustainable form. Green Jobs (GJ) are the element of the whole economy transformation. This change is based on the green qualifications and green careers which translate theoretical assumptions into business language. Therefore, the choice of future career path is based specified criteria, which were examined by surveys performed among graduates by the career office at Wroclaw University of Technology (WUT) in Poland. The energy sector, similarly to the other economic sectors, faces sustainable development (SD) challenges. This review paper’s goal is to explore the areas of the green energy sector transformation towards SD context distinguished in the scientific literature review. The adopted method in this paper is bibliometric research of the scientific publications indexed in Scopus. There were two original queries formulated, and their results were analyzed in the VOSviewer program in the form of bibliometric maps and tables. A comparison of the proposed original queries’ results points to the importance of the journal subject area indexed in the Scopus database. There are publications important for the energy sector green transformation not included in the energy subject area in this database. GJs are naturally created in the processes related to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); this is especially visible in the 7th and 8th SDGs. There is currently a green transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources in the energy sector, and this mainly technological change also influences GJ creation. Despite this, there is a research gap related to green self-employment and GJ definitions. The goal of this paper is to explore the scientific literature collected from the Scopus database using a qualitative approach to present areas and keywords related to GJs in the energy sector. The adopted method is a Structured Literature Review (SLR), with the original query Q1. The retrieved data results of the SLR method were analyzed in the form of bibliometric maps of co-occurring keywords generated by the VOSviewer software, together with tables showing clusters of keyword features. The relationships between the Green Management Style (GMS) and Natural Environment Protection Str... more The relationships between the Green Management Style (GMS) and Natural Environment Protection Strategies (NEPS) are rarely explored in scientific research. The nature of these relations is not fully explained in management sciences, and although these connections are important determinants for the choice between temporary and Sustainable Development (SD) in business organizations, they are accompanied by research gaps. The first research gap is recognized qualitatively in the literature review, which indicates the scarcity of theoretical research in the areas of NEPS and the GMS concerning Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs). The second quantitative research gap is dedicated to the rarity of empirical studies among business organizations engaged in NEPS and the GMS’s implementation. The third qualitative research gap lies in the difficulty of translating scientific assumptions from the theoretical background into business practice. This paper aims to present and explore the indicat...

There are multiple variants in naming this phenomenon in the labor market. Among them are green collars, green employment, and sustainable employment, all indicating a profound inconsistency in the GJ definition. This article aims to identify keyword-specified areas around which the topic of GJs revolves in the scientific literature indexed in the Scopus database. The usage of two methods has achieved this goal. First is the Structured Literature Review (SLR) variation with queries, and it is used to explore the scientific database to determine GJ’s definition consistency by the queries syntax. Conducted research was cross-national research of four multiple case studies with an inferential and exploratory approach. The key finding of this paper is that the SMEs have in common a knowledge creation process and its elements were classified as a priori and a posteriori assets, that occur at their internal levels. The French SMEs benefit from additional assets if compared with Brazilian SMEs, and these assets allow the acceleration of their knowledge creation process, mainly due to financial supports, shared infrastructures, and collaborative projects. This study continues and further develops the model proposed by Nonaka and Takeuchi (1995), who described the knowledge creation process by identifying tangible and intangible assets that are retrieved from a multilevel structure. Implications for policymakers, scholars and practitioners are addressed.
