ALTOur contributors are on their final check-in this weekend, and the finish line is slowly but surely coming into view. Why don’t we pass the time by introducing one of our writers, Dreamor AKA @realityandrebirth! They’re writing a short fic for the zine, accompanied by small spot illustrations!
TO CONTRIBUTORS: The check-in 3 due date (and with it the final submission deadline) has been pushed back 1 more week due to a large amount of extension requests. This means check-in 3 is due 10 days from now (9/28), so mark your calendars and best of luck!

We’re excited to begin introducing some of our contributors and mods, starting with our graphic design mod Cici (@pinkcultgirl)! She’s always a source of energy and kindness in the mod team, and she’ll be designing stickers for the zine too!
In order to give our mods and contributors time to finish the work we have planned, we’re extending our production period by a total of 5 weeks, putting the zine’s pre-order period around late November. Thank you all for your support and for waiting warmly!

ALTThe mods have voted that all zine profits will go to Care For Gaza! If sales permit, a free physical copy of the zine will be offered to all contributors first.
Physical and digital pre-orders are scheduled to open this fall. Look forward to it!

Update: We’ve decided to delay sending remaining emails to tomorrow. With the large amount of great applicants we received, there are some decisions we’re still finalizing, and we want to be sure of our choices in the end. Keep an eye out tomorrow if you haven’t heard back yet!
Everyone who applied should expect to see an email by June 22nd! There may be intermediary emails if something in your app needs clarification, so keep an eye on your inbox and spam folder!

We also made a slight change to the artist/merch apps: a Touhou fanart piece is no longer listed as a hard requirement for your samples, so you can pass on it if you don’t have a recent Touhou piece that you think represents your current style.

It lists a variety of informational, news, and charity resources for those who want to know how to keep informed and donate, or for anyone who wants more background knowledge.
The charity our zine proceeds go to will be decided among the zine mods soon, and has been narrowed down to either Care for Gaza, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF), or Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP). All of which can be found in our resources page above!
We also want to highlight Operation Olive Branch (maintaining a spreadsheet of individual Palestinian GoFundMe’s) and Connecting Humanity (taking eSIM donations to connect Palestinians to the web).
If you want something like Olive Branch but without the stress of choosing which specific GoFundMe’s to donate to, Gaza Funds has a website that’ll select a randomly featured and verified GoFundMe for your consideration.
Supporting individuals in Palestine is just as important as giving to larger charities! 🕊️
Also a small update on writer apps: Per request, we’ve loosened the requirements on portfolio entries so that there’s no hard minimum for number of works to include in your link. Writing is a big task, so no sweat if you can’t reach a specific count!
