Yuji Kaida (開田裕治 Kaida Yūji, born March 26, 1953) is a Japanese illustrator and mechanical designer born in the Hyōgo Prefecture, and a graduate of the Kyoto City University of Arts. He has worked on numerous high-profile properties, including Godzilla, Macross, Gundam, Patlabor, and Tomy's Zoids. For that latter series in particular, he was put in charge of creating a run of limited-edition sets that bore his name.
