Synopsis
The Gung Ho arrives at the planet Reida, a depressing, hollow rock in space, which has an Angolmois capsule reading emanating from its interior. None of the Maximal cadets are keen to go to another grim cave, so tempers fray when Longrack assigns Break, Stampy and Colada to collect the capsule. NAVI adds that the planet seems to be inhabited by unknown alien lifeforms, so to allay his crew's fears, Big Convoy invites himself onto the mission, taking the Seagull shuttle craft.
Though their scans en route are clear, the away team are still surprised to find no aliens upon landing. As they explore the landing site, the planet begins to rumble and NAVI on the Gung Ho warns that the life readings on the planet are increasing. From their vantage on the Gung Ho, Longrack and NAVI realize that the Seagull has flown not into a cave, but the mouth of a giant worm creature! It's too late to warn the away crew, as they are swallowed down into the creature's body.
Awakening deeper in the creature, Big Convoy tries to stop his cadets from panicking at their situation, convincing them that they need to focus on finding the capsule, keeping his own worries about their prospects of escape to himself. The group soon find themselves in a chamber filled with large, pulverizing columns, featuring sharp teeth. Though Colada saves Stampy from being crushed by one, he falls prey to one himself, losing the use of his legs. Escaping the chamber, Big Convoy contacts the Gung Ho, but they are unable to offer any help to the away team's escape. Break's rant at the uselessness of his comrades is interrupted by caustic stomach acids raining down on to him. The transmission cuts out just as the Dinosaur warps into orbit. On board, Magmatron dispatches Sling and Guiledart to Reida.
The Maximal away team is racing from the acid rain. Break is particularly panicked, despite the injured Colada, who he's carrying on his back, providing ample cover from the acid. The team escape into another organ of the creature and take a new reading of the capsule's location. Big Convoy hurries the team along, but Break is becoming weary of carrying Colada. He kicks a stone in frustration, which hits the ceiling and generates a globule of a mucus-like substance that lands on Colada's back, instantly hardening. The team, once again, flees deeper into the creature to escape its hazardous biology.
The Predacon away team is getting its own bearings and capsule reading when the Maximals run into them. Guiledart quickly attacks, with Break dodging and once again using Colada as a shield. Guiledart and Sling are embarrassed by the pair's subsequent intra-fighting, meaning they don't notice Stampy flanking them. He fires above the Predacons, to their bemusement, which releases more of the snot globules, trapping the pair. Big Convoy arrives and kicks the cocooned Predacons back up the creature's digestive tract. They roll to a stop in an empty chamber and are promptly rained on by stomach acids. Panicked, they call for help from DNAVI, who chides them for ordering her about before eventually teleporting them to safety on the Dinosaur. Saberback and Dead End meet Guiledart and Sling on their arrival and mock the state they're in, before being ordered by Magmatron to travel to Reida themselves.
The Maximals are still trudging through entrails when they find the Seagull, conveniently placed right on top of the Angolmois capsule. This new, expansive chamber is otherwise empty and a dead end. Digestive fluids promptly flood out of the sides of the chamber, threatening to dissolve the team, shuttle and capsule. Unable to blast an exit, due to the mucus defense mechanism, Big Convoy orders the Gung Ho to make them an exit. Despite its lack of battle capabilities, Longrack resolves to power up the ship's laser for the job. The away team reach the Seagull, only to find it's been drained of energy. Break warns Colada that he's going to put him to work, despite his injuries, to fix the ship.
Outside the shuttle, Big Convoy is confronted by Dead End and Saberback and draws their fire so they don't hit the Seagull. Inside, Break contacts Longrack on the Gung Ho and hurries him to fire the ship's laser. The beam penetrates the chamber holding the Seagull, allowing Big Convoy to fire his Big Cannon above the Predacons, unleashing more of the mucous globules onto them, though they teleport to safety before they get hit. Break fires up the Seagull, revealing that Colada has been hooked up to the engines to power the shuttle. The Maximals' escape isn't easy though, as an array of smaller Reida worms lines the new tunnel. Stampy hurriedly calculates a path through the creatures, but the ship is hit and the crazy maneuvers have used a lot of energy. In the engine room, Colada is struggling with the strain when one of the power cables comes loose and short circuits the entire array, knocking him down and depowering the shuttle. Struggling against unconsciousness, Colada whips his own arm into the outlet, repowering the ship. The exit of the planet is blocked by a tangle of worms, though. Big Convoy, who has been on the shuttle's roof the entire flight, fires a blast from the Big Cannon to clear the way, which the Gung Ho nimbly avoids. Their escape assured, Break hurries to the engine room and checks on Colada, who is weary but alive. Break tells him that they've escaped safely, thanks to their excellent "engine".
On the Gung Ho, the crew comment on having had to injure the Reida worm so much, but that they probably did it a favor removing the Angolmois capsule and that it'll heal in time. Big Convoy reflects that they were lucky to escape, before Vector Sigma prompts him to add that by everyone exceeding their limits just a tiny bit, they can work together to achieve miracles.
