Star Dasher is a 'bot with issues. If he has a job, he'll do it, and probably do it pretty well, but he has a need for stimulation. Something, anything to take the edge off, and can often be found indulging in Nightmare Fuel, or whatever he can get his hands on. If that happens, he'll be no use to anyone. Or if there's no substances around, he'll probably do something reckless just to relieve his boredom, like fire death-balls at asteroids. Of course, there's no denying his loyalty. In fact, sometimes Star Dasher can be a little too loyal, y'know?

Star Dasher's trobulum-laced armor makes him a tough customer, strong enough to withstand an Inferno Creature's fangs. His train mode can go a whole 350 mph, and his shuttle mode can go at least 18,000 mph in orbit, and possibly further, though Star Dasher's never tested it further. In battle, he wields the formidable "Tech Wrecker" gun, and while he's not much for brawling, Cannonball's taught him a few tekkaido moves he can put to good use. Just... keep him away from the engex.

Beast Wars: Uprising

Star Dasher was once a Decepticon, but when the humans made sure the Great War came to a sudden and definitive end, he was so disgusted he quit, joining up with Cannonball the 3rd and the Star Seekers. Star Dasher proved loyal, though he threw himself into any attempt to forget the war, indulging in Nightmare Fuel. Despite this, his record remained good, something Star Dasher took pride in.

Sadly, his pirate career came to an end shortly after The Nebulon joined them. A pair of Headmaster mercenaries attacked them. Overpowered, the Star Seekers were dragged back to Cybertron, where Star Dasher was forced to serve as transport. His bitterness reaching new heights, he began taking tremendous risks on his job. Eventually, during the Grand Uprising, he was captured by the Resistance, who lobotomized him. Part of him welcomed this.

Six years into the Uprising, the Star Dasher served as Cheetor and Preditron's transport to Proximax. Safe Spaces Soon after, it was used to flee Proximax and get the word out about the nascent Vehicon Apocalypse. Derailment

    • Accessories: "Ionic Displacer Rifle"
Platinum Edition Astrotrain was repurposed as Beast Wars: Uprising Star Dasher.
Part of a Platinum Edition two-pack with Blitzwing released under the Generations line, this reissue of Astrotrain features an unprecedented orange, white, and blue color scheme. The exact inspiration for this deco is unknown, with the currently prevalent theory being that it is an homage to Victory Machtackle's colors.
The Platinum Edition duo of Blitzwing and Astrotrain was repurposed in Beast Wars: Uprising continuity as Fever Dream and Star Dasher.
