Synopsis
Cody gives Heatwave some instructions on how to drive the Mobile Headquarters, while Kade plays with the GPS to plan his date with Hayley. Heatwave interrupts by taking the MHQ for a spin, almost literally. As Kade screams for Heatwave to slow down, Chief Burns reports he's chasing a speeder on Old Canyon Road and he could really do with some help. Heatwave takes the MHQ on the road and joins the pursuit. He's soon able to use the massive vehicle to stop the out-of-control driver before anyone gets hurt.
Back at the fire house, Cody is finding that now that Doc Greene and Frankie know the Rescue Bots' secret, no one has any time to hang out with him; Frankie's too busy playing a dance video game with Blades, Heatwave and Chase are playing a Cybertronian equivalent of chess that Doc Green helped them construct, and Boulder and Doc Greene are working on the energize tools they've built with Cybertronian technology. Doc Greene shows off his Inspiration Counter, and a teleporter called the Vacuum Accelerator. He tests the latter on Kade's toolbox, but the remote control fails to return the teleporter as expected. Graham shows off the new command center he's installed in the MHQ, just in time to receive an emergency call from Mr. Whitaker — Taylor is stuck to the lighthouse by his para-sail.
As the team rolls out, Cody continues to monitor the situation from the MHQ, unaware that the toolbox has just materialized behind him. Outside, Doc Greene and Frankie are perturbed when the MHQ vanishes. The Doc rings Cody, who discovers that the MHQ is now in the middle of the river, and tries using the teleporter's reset button without success. The others are rescuing Taylor, though Blades is amused that Dani knows the rescuee's name. The rest of the team is soon called away to rescue Cody, leaving Blades, Dani and Kade to rescue Taylor, however the rescue goes wrong when a gust of wind carries Taylor and Kade away. Blades and Dani follow, but are unable to find them in the dense forest. The lost pair soon find themselves in trouble: Kade has lost his commlink and sprained his ankle, and what's worse, they have a bear after them.
The other Bots attempt to fish the MHQ out of the river, only for the transporter to trigger, transporting the MHQ and Rescue Bots to the top of Mount Griffin. Blades and Dani turn up to winch the MHQ to safety, and Heatwave manages to save the Vacuum Accelerator from falling out. As Blades descends, the teleporter triggers again, depositing them at the drive through. Heatwave throws the teleporter away, but moments later he realizes that the teleporter had been taking them to locations Kade had planned for his date with Hayley and they can use it to teleport to Kade's location. This results in them hunting for the device, and luckily it turns out the Vacuum Accelerator happened to hit Doc Greene's windshield.
Kade and Taylor are sheltering from the bear in a hammock made from the para-sail when the others use Kade's commlink to locate them. The MHQ teleports in and Heatwave scares off the bear, allowing the pair to return to the ground, where Dani checks to see if Taylor's OK, and Kade suggests he ask her out already. With everyone safely in the MHQ, Cody sets the GPS for the fire station and they're all teleported... to Mayor Luskey's front lawn.

Notes
Continuity notes
- Some time has clearly passed since season 1. Enough time for modifications to be made to the MHQ so that the Bots can drive it — new windows in the upper part of the front plus a bot-sized steering wheel — and a mobile command center as well as customized rims with Rescue Bots insignias. The fire station has also undergone some modification, most prominently it now has a statue of a griffin standing on a Rescue Bots insignia out front.
- Taylor most prominently appeared in "The Lost Bell". Dani says they helped "land his plane", though in that story it was being blown along the runaway by the wind.
- Mount Griffin gets named, though we already knew the rock on top was named "Griffin Rock" from "Countdown".
- The bear appears to be the same one from "Rules and Regulations".
- Heatwave was Lobbing champ three years running.
Transformers references
- Boulder and Doc Greene are working on the energize weapons that the "Energize" subline of the Rescue Bots toyline came with.
Real-world references
- Frankie and Blades play a game not unlike Dance Dance Revolution (presumably Doc Greene made the Rescue Bot sized mat!)
Animation and technical errors
- How does the teleporter survive hitting Doc Greene's windshield at high velocity? Its major component is a glass tube!
Trivia
- The title sequence is tweaked slightly as of this episode, with several of the shots which previously took place at night either switched for daytime shots or, in the case of the shot of Cody and the four Bots under the line "With Cody to guide them and show them the way", reanimated.
- Blades can not only lift the MHQ but the other three Rescue Bots as well, though not for very long.
