Laserbeak gets mad about people misspelling his name. Again.

Contents

Synopsis

At Maccadam's Old Oil House, Laserbeak receives his tab from the bartender. Looking it over, he notices she spelt his name with a Z instead of an S, causing Buzzsaw to sigh to himself. Annoyed, Laserbeak proceeds to rant, explaining that "LASER" is an acronym, and that putting a Z in makes you look like a loser. Finished, Laserbeak turns to his left to find an upset Lazorbeak staring at him.

Featured Characters

(Numbers indicate order of appearance.)

Notes

  • Characters mentioned include: Primus.

Transformers references

  • Unlike previous Recordicons strips, this strip does not take place in the Shattered Glass universe. Rather, it takes place in an unspecified Beast Wars continuity.
  • The main characters seen in this strip include BotCon 2006-exclusive Laserbeak and Buzzsaw, and second year Beast Wars toy Lazorbeak.
  • The bartender serving Laserbeak is the female bartender seen at Maccadam's in the Marvel UK The Transformers story "Target: 2006", and according to David Willis the story is indeed set at that same bar.[1]
  • Seen in the background include Beast Wars Ravage (specifically, his Beast Wars Metals toy, rather than his show model), Beast Wars Fuzor Injector, and another character with the Beast Wars Terrorsaur body-type.

Real-world references

  • Laser is noted to be an acroynm, "Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation". This is true!.
