Fiction

Star Trek vs. Transformers

Part of the away team sent to investigate a dilithium mining colony on the planet Cygnus Seven after the Enterprise received a distress call, M'ress joined Captain Kirk, Spock and Hikaru Sulu as they beamed down to the planet, finding the mine under attack by mysterious antiquated military vehicles they assumed to be under the control of Klingons. The situation became more perplexing when the Federation members mistook Optimus Prime for a Klingon weapon, and was subsequently wounded by phaser fire. After Kirk realized that something was amiss in the wake of the Enterprise chased away the other Cybertronians with a photon torpedo, M'ress joined Kirk as they investigated the mineshaft from whence the Transformers had come... and discovered more Autobots, who demanded to know what they had done to Optimus Prime. Prime's Directive, Part One

A skirmish ensued as the Cybertronians attempted to pin down the organics, but Kirk was able to convince the Autobots of his good intentions; after learning that the Autobots had fled Earth aboard Fortress Maximus during World War III and subsequently crashed on Cygnus Seven, the two groups agreed to work together to rescue Prime and rout the Decepticons... only for a Decepticon barrage to collapse the mineshaft, leaving them trapped underground. Undaunted, Ratchet hatched a new plant to bring their Titan back online, Prime's Directive, Part Two and M'ress stood by as Kirk hooked himself into Ratchet's experimental interface. By scanning Kirk's brainwaves, Fortress Maximus was brought back online—his altmode reshaped into a copy of the USS Enterprise—and blasted himself free from the mineshaft. M'ress joined the fight against the Decepticons and their new Klingon allies, riding inside Bumblebee, and watched in amazement as the Autobot Titan assumed his new robot mode, he and Kirk's shared consciousness declaring themselves "Fortress Tiberius." Prime's Directive, Part Three

From a distance, M'ress and the other organics watched as the Autobot Titan duked it out with the Decepticon Trypticon as the Klingon-Decepticon alliance broke down, and despite Jazz's willingness to let the Decepticons kill the Klingons, M'ress reminded him that the Federation attempted to preserve sentient life whenever possible. Shortly after the Decepticons retreated to pursue an itinerant Starscream, M'ress and the others boarded Fortress Tiberius, who flew them up to rejoin the real Enterprise, still floating in space. Prime's Directive, Part Four En route to the Klingon homeworld of Kronos, Kirk hit upon a new plan that would give them the edge against the Decepticons, and Scotty oversaw the creation of armored suits that would allow the rest of the Enterprise's bridge crew to take on their foes.

Clad in one such mechanical suit, M'ress joined the battle on the surface of Kronos, battling Ravage and Laserbeak alongside Arcee, before a paralyzing blast from Soundwave shut down all of the Autobots and their allies. However, the Decepticons had reckoned without the intervention of their former collaborator, Kuri, and the villains were promptly taken out by a flotilla of warbirds. In the aftermath, the crew of the Enterprise opted to return to Earth; the Autobots, on the other hand, remained content to travel the galaxy aboard Fortress Tiberius, and so the two ships amenably parted ways, with Prime pledging that he would return if the Federation ever required his assistance.
