The name or term "Cyclonus" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Cyclonus (disambiguation).
Cyclonus is a Decepticon from the Aligned continuity family.

Cyclonus is, on the face of it an extremely loyal and efficient air warrior in the Decepticon army. His chilling voice speaks of the destruction they will rain down on their enemies and delights in this cruelty.

However, his career is not exactly as glorious as his endless boasts suggest. In the past, he's turned and ran with his tailfins between his legs when things got out of his control. And lately he's taken mostly to subterfuge, manipulation and working through patsies. But he still knows how to throw down and now that he's gained the ability to combine with fellow Decepticons Cyberwarp, Skyjack, Treadshock and Riotgear to form Galvatronus, he's got the muscle to back up his mouth.

Oh, they don't have to suffer, Cyberwarp. That's just a happy bonus.Cyclonus explaining he enjoys his work, "Enemy of My Enemy"

With allies like me, Cyberwarp, you don’t need character development.

Following the restoration of Cybertron, a new High Council came to rule the planet. Unfortunately, Cyclonus and his troops easily usurped the original new Council and used Light Benders to conceal their true identities so as to assume control of the planet. They also put into motion plans to make Steeljaw their errand-bot and Soundwave their ally so as to usher in another new Cybertronian age. Freedom Fighters

For Steeljaw and his pack, Cyclonus and the rest of the Council broke him out of imprisonment to torment the Autobots on Earth as a distraction. Exiles For Soundwave, they genetically reprogrammed a small group of Mini-Cons to bring him three Decepticon Hunters to free him from the Shadowzone and reformat him; they also gave him the directive to summon back Megatron to lead their conquest of Cybertron. Collateral Damage

With their plans reaching fruition, Cyberwarp asked why aliens had to suffer for Cybertron's ascension. to which Cyclonus responded that they didn't have to suffer; it was just a happy bonus, before he told her to play her part and make another broadcast. Enemy of My Enemy

When Cyberwarp hesitated in making her broadcast, Cyclonus took over and finished it before shooting down her concerns about morality and ordering Skyjack to activate the Space Bridge to Earth. However, the Bee Team infiltrated the Council chambers and destroyed the Light Bender, in response to which Cyclonus ordered an attack over Cyberwarp's protests. When fighting the Autobots one-on-one failed, with Cyclonus being knocked out of the sky by Sideswipe, Cyclonus ordered his troops to combine into Galvatronus. However, Cyberwarp's reservations allowed Ultra Bee to defeat them, separating them back into their individual robot modes. Freedom Fighters

Voice actor: Liam O'Brien (English)
Cyclonus is an unlockable character for the Nintendo DS version of War for Cybertron (Decepticon version), unlocked by completing the "Streets 6" Arena level. Like the other unlockable characters, he can replace any of the other Decepticons in the campaign mode.

While the Decepticons were training on the streets of Iacon, they received a message issuing a challenge from Cyclonus. Cyclonus met a small group of Decepticons atop a building, announcing he was going to "bring them back to reality". They proceeded to battle until Cyclonus was soundly defeated and agreed to join the Decepticon cause.

He was subsequently part of the mission in which the Decepticons kidnapped Swoop for their Dark Energon experiments. As the Autobots tried to retrieve their friend, Cyclonus confronted them. Standing behind a force field, he unleashed his "minions"—some swarms and a few turrets—to attack the Autobots. When those fell and his force field was disabled, Cyclonus was reduced to a cowardly wreck, promising to open the door to the laboratory if they didn't hurt him. Once the Autobots had retrieved Swoop, Cyclonus revealed he'd rigged the lab to blow and sped off in his jet mode, activating force fields to keep the Autobots from following him. At least I don't think with my stomach...
  • Galvatronus (Team Combiner, 2017)
  • Accessories: Rifle
Team Combiner Cyclonus is a Deluxe-scaled toy that transforms from robot to Cybertronian starfighter and back. The large rifle the set comes with can be mounted on top of Cyclonus's starfighter mode, but his robot mode has no way of holding it. He also features a scannable badge on his left torso, compatible to the Robots in Disguise Mobile Game. Scanning the badge temporarily unlocks that toy as a playable character in the mobile game, and can only be scanned once per day. Cyclonus is the only Team Combiner to have poseable shoulders.
He can also transform into the torso of Galvatronus. His limb-ports use a universal connector joint shared by other Team Combiners and the Crash Combiners, which can lead to some very interesting combinations.
This version of Cyclonus was available only as part of the Galvatronus box set, with his subordiantes Cyberwarp, Riotgear, Treadshock and Skyjack.
