- Crossroads is a human supervillain from the Animated continuity family.
Crossroads, real name Roland Cross, is a mad scientist and supervillain who wants to prove that any robot could be used as a weapon in the right hands. You might think this was already proved conclusively by all those times machines and robots have run amok in Detroit, but apparently it's not been proved scientifically.

Titan Animated comic
He was an employee of Sumdac Industries years ago, until Isaac Sumdac discovered that Roland was overriding the lab robots and making them fight each other. Angered by this sociopathic activity going on on company time, Isaac fired him and locked up his old lab. Roland vowed he would return to unleash all robots!
Years later he tied blue cloth round his head and declared himself the supervillain Crossroads, wielding sinister over-ride gauntlets that could, well, override robotic systems. He was backed by Starscream, who gave him the last component (a sliver of Megatron) he needed to successfully control all systems. Crossroads seized control first of Detroit's automated transport control systems and later every robotic system in the city, turning cash points, streetlights, and snack machines into hostile attackers! He demanded Detroit hand over all its gold and destroy all the Autobots if they wanted to live — but this was all a diversion, as his real plan was to get to Sumdac Tower and get at his old lab.
Unfortunately, Sari Sumdac was able to see past Crossroads' cunning bit of cloth and realise who he really was. The Autobots got to the tower and destroyed the over-ride gauntlets, leaving Crossroads to be arrested. Crossroads!
