Notes
- Tudyk didn't actually realize he'd been cast as Optimus Prime in EarthSpark right away. As he puts it, when he first got the e-mail offering him the role, his brain instinctively rejected the idea that he'd be asked to play Optimus and instead focused in on the "Prime" part, remembering that there were other Primes from his time on Dark at the Moon and assuming he'd play some one-off joke character like "Optometrist Prime" or "Amazon Prime". It wasn't until he got his script a few days before recording and saw all the "Optimus" lines highlighted that it finally clicked and he started freaking out.[1]
- In a 2014 interview with The A.V. Club, Tudyk stated that the Dutch character from Dark of the Moon was, in fact, his character Gerhardt from the Sandra-Bullock-in-rehab movie 28 Days, claiming the character had gone through rehab, become a globe-trotting hitman, and finally settled down as a manservant for Seymour Simmons.[2]
