Dead End was armed with a compressor-air gun, which could let out a blast of air packing a 40,000 psi punch, enough to splinter a grove of oak trees. Dead End's Universe profile Thrust carried two concussion bomb missile launchers and two compressed air rifles, each of which could shoot a hole in ¼ inch-thick steel plate from a distance of 1200 yards. When facing off against RAAT, Dead End used his compressed air gun to blow away their electric snow. Heavy Traffic!

Toys

The Transformers

G1DeadEnd toy.jpg
The Transformers Dead End came with a small black weapon, identified as an compressor-air gun in his instructions and packaging bio.
This toy was also available as a Menasor giftset and was reissued in 1990 as part of the European/Australian Classics line.

So he puts the projectiles under even more pressure? Then how's he going to survive the recoil?
Action Master Bumblebee came with a yellow weapon, identified as an astral exploder rifle in his instructions, which combines with Heli-pack to form a large air rifle with spring-loaded deploying barrel. It is also cross-compatible with any other Action Master figure, vehicle or accessory.

Notes

  • Thrust's compressed air rifles are not mentioned in his toy's packaging bio, where he is armed with automatic missile launchers.
  • Dead End's weapon's name went through something of an evolution as seen above: his toy's instructions and bio, his unreleased Generation 2 toy's bio, and his Marvel Universe profile all called it a compressor-air gun; the Marvel comic itself called it a compressed air gun; and his Dreamwave More than Meets the Eye profile called it a compressed air rifle.
  • Like Wildrider and Breakdown, Dead End's More than Meets the Eye profile replaces the vehicle-mounted plasma-energy blaster from his toy with a larger version of his robot mode weapon—in this case, a double-barreled compressed air cannon.
