A solar flare knocks out power in Griffin Rock; Blurr deserts the Rescue Bots and steals the ship.

Synopsis
Blurr relaxes aboard the Sigma until ERVIS alerts him to a situation back in the launch hanger. Blurr is disinterested and instead asks ERVIS to set course for Hydrus Four, where he knows he'll be able to do some racing.
Down on Earth, the rescue team hunts Griffin Rock fruitlessly for Blurr, and even Servo is unable to pick up a scent. As they're discussing where Blurr might have gone, an energy wave hits the Bots. Graham explains that solar flares from the Sun are causing mechanical problems. Chief tries to contact Cody to no avail, as Cody's trapped under scaffolding and can't reach his comm. With the scaffolding in imminent danger of collapse, Cody uses Servo's whistle. Responding, Servo leads the team back to the firehouse, where they open up the hanger and discover Cody's predicament. Once Salvage extracts him from under the scaffolding, Cody fills in the others on how Blurr stole the Sigma. They discuss Blurr's actions, until another solar flare hits. Heatwave reports to Optimus Prime who promises to try and find the ship — Optimus still holds out hope Blurr will change though Heatwave is skeptical.
As the Sigma heads away from Earth, ERVIS plays events in the hanger to Blurr, who feels suitably guilty over Cody's endangerment. ERVIS is just telling him about the pending messages from Optimus when the ship is hit by another solar flare and shuts down.
The flare also affects things on the ground, knocking out the power in Griffin Rock. Graham and Boulder explain the latest event is a powerful Coronal Mass Ejection. Assuming that the rest of town has been similarly affected, the rescue team splits up to patrol, with Chief and Chase going to consult Doc Greene. Dani and Blades immediately spot a plane in trouble and use a glow stick to guide it to the airport runway. At the docks, Salvage and Cody find the Griffin Rock ferry is drifting directly towards rocks, and Salvage manages to rope it and pull it to the dock. At the laboratory, Doc Greene's using a potato-powered calculator to work out when the CME's effects will end.
Blurr uses a jetpack to reach the underside of the Sigma, and pulls the ship's reset lever. No sooner is the ship back online than ERVIS warns Blurr about the satellite bearing down on them at high speed. Though the ship dodges the satellite, ERVIS points out that the satellite is on a direct course for Griffin Rock.
On the ground, Doc Greene has also spotted the incoming satellite and estimates they have thirty minutes until it hits. The island's dome can't be raised without a power source. Comms are back up, so Chief orders everyone to organize an evacuation of the town. Salvage heads to the junkyard where he builds a powerful transmitter out of junk.
On the Sigma, Blurr asks for an update on Griffin Rock, but ERVIS is unable to detect any signals from there. Blurr orders ERVIS to resume course to Hydrus Four, but remembers how Cody believed in him. Checking with ERVIS whether the Sigma has laser blasters, Blurr has the ship turn around to intercept the satellite. Unfortunately it turns out that the laser's power isn't hooked up. Blurr's despair is interrupted by an incoming transmission from Salvage. Salvage puts Blurr through to the rest of the team and Boulder and Graham are able to instruct him on powering up the laser. Unfortunately it's only operating at minimal power, so Blurr has to steer the ship dangerously close to the satellite. With half a minute to go, the team watches the ship move in and blast the satellite, disappearing in a massive explosion. For a moment everyone thinks the Sigma has been destroyed, but Blurr reveals the explosion just triggered the ship's cloaking device, and lands nearby. Heatwave admits Blurr's earned another chance, however Optimus arrives to reveal he has other plans for Blurr and Salvage. The pair are to serve as Rescue Bots elsewhere on Earth and Optimus presents them both with new insignia. As Cody says goodbye to Blurr and Salvage, the power station comes back online and the town lights up once again.
