Making Illustrator map

Hi all, I’l like to have an Illustrator file with my map: Cupola Projection / Fil | Observable

It should have country boundaries and a grid (15 degree graticule preferably) and it may be simple with unprecise coastlines etcetera. Suitable for on a computer screen, not for high quality print. Developing a map with Mathlab is one thing, and making an Illustrator file I have never done. Is it simple?

Hi Weia,

I have updated the notebook to make the map in SVG. You can now adjust the parameters as you like (the 15° graticule, the colors, etc), then click on the ︙ menu to get the “download svg” option. You should then be able to open the file in an image editor.

Let me know if you need anything else?

Sorry, I do not see parameters and the three dots only show png export, not svg.

I took the wrong three dots  Now the parameters.

I can’t find parameters.

the cell that plots the map, just below it, has all the params:

  • `Plot.geo(d3.geoGraticule().step([15, 15])()` here you change the graticule grid
  • `Plot.sphere({ fill: “#fffff2” })`, here you change the oceans’ color

just forked it and added easy to edit params…
