Abstract It is important for industries today to manage the life cycle of their products in order to ensure being competitive in the market. The time reduction of design and manufacture is a problem which must be overcome. Industries must be able to make early decisions in the life cycle of the product. The virtual prototyping is a tool which helps solving this problem. A virtual environment for prototyping is a real time simulator allowing a virtual contact with the product.

Le MDE «model-driven engineering»(ingénierie guidée par les modèles) consiste en l'utilisation des modèles en tant que produit réel. C'est à dire que ces modèles ne sont plus seulement des moyens de communication entre les personnes impliquées dans le projet. Dans ce cas là, le code développé représente le produit réel (en génie logiciel). Deux approches opposées ont proposé des solutions au développement guidé par les modèles ou MDD.

Abstract Several requirements modeling languages such as the requirements package of SysML have been developed to improve the elicitation, analysis, validation and verification of requirements during project development life cycles. However, none of these languages is generic enough to embed explicit traces to components of arbitrary system architecture languages intending to provide a solution to the problem formalized by requirements specifications.
