Social media has revolutionized the way we communicate, share information, and connect with others. In entertainment, social media has become an indispensable tool for promoting and distributing content, including Christian drama productions. While Christian drama has a long and rich history, social media has created new opportunities and challenges for this genre.

The relationship between social media and Christian drama is complex and multifaceted. Social media has changed the way Christian drama is produced, consumed, and perceived. It has opened up new avenues for promoting and distributing Christian drama content, but it has also introduced ethical concerns related to accountability, authenticity, and responsibility.

This book aims to explore the relationship between social media and Christian drama. It will examine the impact of social media on Christian drama; including how social media has changed the way Christian drama is produced and consumed. The book will also reflect on the theological implications of social media on Christian drama, exploring how Christian drama can engage with social media as a tool for evangelism and discipleship.

Ultimately, this book seeks to provide insights into how Christian drama can navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by social media in a way that is both responsible and faithful to its message. Whether you are a Christian drama minister, producer, or enthusiast, this book will help you understand how social media can be used to promote and engage with this important genre.

The impacts of drama ministry are becoming more evident through the roles the Christian stage drama and, importantly, the Christian movies on television and social media platforms are beginning to play in the lives of people, both believers and unbelievers. The Christian populace has considered the emergence of Christian drama and movie productions from many drama and film production ministries, as a welcome alternative to the uninspiring and seductive movies scattered on multitudes of television channels and social media platforms. The presence of Christian movies has served as an antidote to the poisonous entertainment meals being served to the masses.

Today, homes have choices of selected Christian movie channels on the YouTube platform. Families can confidently choose channels of Christian movies to watch with family and friends without any fear of being corrupted by unwelcome movie content. Churches now have several titles of movies they can choose from for their indoor or outdoor programs for evangelism or revival events. Missionaries now have multitudes of evangelism titles they can use for their mission works.

Homes are being healed, Marriages are being strengthened, and spiritual lives are being empowered through many titles of Christian drama and movies made by drama and film production ministers. These have huge impacts on society; therefore, these need to be studied by Christian drama students and by Christian drama leaders and these are some of the points the author has expressed in this book.

Therefore, this book will be useful to Christian drama students and teachers, and also meaningful to members of drama groups and ministries everywhere.

The proliferation of media technologies has redefined theatre performance in contemporary times. This modification which includes mixed-media and mediatization; interactive media; social media; aesthetic communication and spectacle have resulted in a high level of change. As audiences visit the theatre with an increased level of aesthetic taste and newer lens to view performance, theatre directors and designers struggle to find newer methods to tell the dramatic story and create performances to meet the high demand. Sadly, for Christian theatres, especially in Nigeria, the handful of theatre directors and designers actually embracing these new developments have barely scratched the surface of the ongoing renaissance in theatre performance. And this is due to a dearth of documentation on the modus operandi necessary for the creation of these contemporary Christian theatre performances. Sight & Sound Theatres (USA), is a faith-based Christian Theatre in the league of Broadway Theatre with several biblical stories presented on sophisticated stages. This paper engages Ole Thyssen's 'Aesthetic Communication theory' as theoretical framework. It is a descriptive study which engages a content analysis of Sight & Sound's performance of "Joseph", and documents the technical details of creating contemporary Christian performances with the example of "Joseph". Observably, Sight & Sound Theatres prioritizes the inclusion of media and technical elements into performance to enhance performance quality and ensure effective communication of the dramatic story. Hence, by documenting these elements, Sight & Sound Theatres provide a template for the creation of performance in contemporary times, indeed, Christian theatrical productions around the globe.

This paper investigates the impact of Christian drama on social transformation through an analysis of two prominent Mount Zion Film Productions (MZFP) movies: Last Man Standing and Legion. Anchored on the Cultivation Theory by George Gerbner, which suggests that long-term exposure to media content can shape individuals' perceptions of reality, influencing their beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors, the study explores how MZFP effectively utilizes storytelling to address contemporary issues and promote Christian values. Through a thematic analysis encompassing faith, redemption, forgiveness, spiritual warfare, and ethical dilemmas, the paper examines how these films engage audiences in thoughtprovoking reflections on Christian principles and societal challenges. Furthermore, it investigates how the films raise awareness, challenge stigmas, promote dialogue, advocate for change, and celebrate virtues while condemning vices. By comparing and contrasting the thematic elements and societal impact of Last Man Standing and Legion, this study offers insights into the potential of Christian drama to influence perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors within society. Ultimately, the findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the role of film as a medium for fostering social consciousness and spiritual renewal in contemporary culture.

This study explores the characterization of Mike Bamiloye in his roles as King Oladunjoye in Esin Ajoji and Melandra Gashiky in Shackles, within the framework of Paul's evangelical approach. Utilizing a qualitative research methodology, the analysis focuses on key aspects of Bamiloye's performances, including physical appearance, behavior, dialogue, and symbolism. Grounded in the theoretical framework of narrative theology, as propounded by George Lindbeck in "The Nature of Doctrine: Religion and Theology in a Postliberal Age" (1984), the study examines how Bamiloye's portrayal of characters serves as narratives conveying theological messages to viewers. By analyzing the dramatic storytelling techniques employed by Bamiloye, the study aims to elucidate the role of Christian drama in evangelism and spiritual edification and through this exploration, the study also contributes to a deeper understanding of the role of dramatic evangelism in contemporary Christian discourse and its implications for faith, culture, and society.

This study delves into the intriguing connection between theology and theatrical expression in Christian literature, with a particular focus on the contributions of Nigerian Christian filmmaker and playwright, Mike Bamiloye. The research centers on Bamiloye's unique perspective on portraying Jesus Christ as the Greatest Dramatist through theatrical means, primarily examining his book, "Is Drama in the Bible?".

The exploration begins by providing an overview of Bamiloye's background and multifaceted contributions to Christian drama, emphasizing its potential to reveal the core relationship between theology and performing arts. The literature review digs into the theological aspects of drama within Christianity, drawing on the insights of scholars like David Brown and Hans Urs von Balthasar to create a theoretical framework for understanding the role of drama in conveying religious narratives.

The core of the research focuses on Bamiloye's book, "Is Drama in the Bible?", exploring concepts such as Paul's Policy on Evangelism, Prophetic Revelation Drama, and Applied Prophetic Drama. The central theme of Jesus Christ as the greatest actor is highlighted, drawing parallels with the biblical narrative in Philippians 2:6-8. The subsequent sections provide a detailed examination of Philippians 2:6-8, portraying Jesus as the Greatest Dramatist. This involves an in-depth analysis of Jesus "being in the form of God" and "taking on the form of a servant." The metaphorical expression of "putting off his clothing" is explored, emphasizing the deliberate shedding of divine attributes in Jesus' acts. The research then examines the theological significance of Philippians 2:6-8, highlighting Jesus' humility, obedience, and sacrificial mission. This passage challenges conventional notions of divinity, reshaping theological paradigms and becoming the bedrock of Christian thought. The culmination of Jesus' dramatization is vividly displayed in his journey to the cross, symbolizing the ultimate sacrifice for humanity's sins. The resurrection serves as the resolution, proclaiming victory over darkness and offering hope to believers.

This research contributes to a deeper understanding of Mike Bamiloye's distinctive perspective on Jesus Christ within the context of theatrical expression, enriching theological discourse and unveiling the profound insights of the Divine Dramatist portrayed by Bamiloye.
