Steffen Lohmann is a senior researcher at the Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems IAIS and associated member of the Smart Data Analytics group of the University of Bonn. His main research areas include Semantic Technologies, Knowledge Engineering, Interactive Information Systems and Information Visualization. At Fraunhofer IAIS, he is heading the business unit on Enterprise Information Integration concerned with research and development in areas such as Industry 4.0, Internet of Things, Semantic Interoperability, and Smart Data Integration. Steffen holds BSc and MSc degrees in Applied Communication and Media Science and a PhD in Computer Science. He is co-author of more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific publications, co-founder of a number of research and software projects and initiatives, has served in different functions for major scientific conferences and journals, and co-organized several activities in the above topic areas.
