Valery A. Korneyev (aka Валерий Алексеевич Корнеев — Russian, Валерій Олексійович Корнєєв — Ukrainian) [1], Ukrainian entomologist.

• Research interests: Systematics of Diptera; Palaearctic Tephritidae and Platystomatidae: taxonomy, faunae, biology; Pyrgotidae Worldwide. Suprageneric taxonomy of Tephritidae and Tephritoidea (Worldwide). Faunistics of several Ukrainian Acalyptrate Diptera. Insects associated with asteraceous and scrophulariaceous wild and weed plants, and with leafy spurges; agents for biocontrol of weeds.
• Head of the Department of General and Applied Entomology at the I.I.Schmalhausen Institute of Zoology [2], National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Kiev.
