Name
[edit]Rosa sect. Caninae (DC.) Ser. in A.P. de Candolle, Prodr. 2: 611. 1825.
- Type species: Rosa canina L. (1753)
Note: This section is monophyletic and characterised by asymmetrical canina meiosis, but is also morphologically heterogeneous. The morphological subsections are partially supported by Reichel et al., (2023), but only the three main ones; Caninae, Rubugineae and Vestitae with confidence.
