Ixora erythrocarpa K.Schum. & Lauterb., Fl. Schutzgeb. Südsee: 571 (1901 publ. 1900)

• Typus: Lauterbach 2460 (3 July 1896; B).
  • Note: Bremekamp (1937) treats Schlechter 13804 (collected in/near Nuru River; deposited in B and BO) as if it were the type.
• Type locality: [Papua New Guinea.] Kaiser Wilhelmsland: Ssigaun-Bergland, Schumannfluss, beim zweiten Lager 300 m ü. M. im Hochwald [= Northeastern part: Szigaun Mountains, Schumann River, near the second camp 300 m above sea level in the highland forest].
