Recognizing the importance of primary and non-formal education in ensuring education for all as well as for eradicating illiteracy, the Government created a new Division called Primary and Mass Education Division (PMED) in August 1992 with the status of a Ministry has been renamed as Ministry of Primary and Mass Education since January 2003. The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education (MOPME) is responsible for policy formulation, planning, evaluation and execution of plans and initiating legislative measures relating to primary and non-formal education. The Honorable Prime Minister is also the Minister for Primary and Mass Education. There is an advisor to Honorable Prime Minister for Ministry of Primary and Mass Education. MOPME is headed by Secretary of the Government. To assist the Secretary, there are 2 Joint Secretaries. There are also 4 Deputy Secretaries, 1 Deputy Chief, 9 Senior Assistant Secretaries/Assistant Secretaries, 1 Senior Assistant Chief,2 Assistant Chiefs, 1 Statistical Officer and 56 supporting staff members. This Ministry is responsible for op0licy making, administrative management and overall supervision of Primary education and non-formal education. Main objectives of this Ministry are:
• To eradicate illiteracy from the country.
• To take steps so that every child between 6-10 years of age receives primary education.
• To give a second chance for education to the dropout students (boys and girl), youth and adults through non-formal education.

The purposes of this study were to delineate the characteristics of effective English teachers (EET) in terms of subject matter knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, and socio affective skills, to compare the characteristics of EET perceived by different parties of teachers and students, and to stimulate further discussion of the topic both in and outside of Bangladesh.  In sum, the studies on effective teaching summarized above revealed that some of the characteristics of effective teachers were universal, that other characteristics were group dependent, and that numerous effective characteristics could be classified into a few categories including subject matter knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, and socio-affective skills, with different endorsement rates according to groups such as teachers and students, male and female students, and high achieving and low achieving students. The characteristics of a good teacher of English include many traits and strategies. English teachers need to do their best in implementing techniques in the classroom to help our nation's children reach their learning potential. It also helps to be able to laugh and to keep smiling in this climate of change. It is very important that students feel that their teachers care about them. They need to feel safe in a supportive learning environment because this may be the only safe place that some children have. A safe, caring learning environment will help students to work to their true potential. Last, teachers need to have a sense of humor. English teachers based on previous studies and teaching experiences.  In the second stage, the draft of the questionnaire was reviewed by eight experts including three high school teachers and five professors specialized in TESL in the following order.  In the third stage, several items were added and dropped as per the recommendation of the experts, producing a total of many items for the pilot study.

একজন প্রকৌশলীর জন্য যেমন নীল নকশা ছাড়া কোন স্থাপনা দাঁড় করানো সম্ভব নয় ঠিক তেমনি, শিক্ষাক্রম ছাড়া শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থাকে দাঁড় করানো যায় না। শিক্ষার সাথে জড়িত যাবতীয় কার্যাবলি শিক্ষাক্রমের অন্তর্গত। আসন্ন একবিংশ শতাব্দী তথ্য প্রযুক্তির ভরপুর শতাব্দী হবে বলে সমকালের বিজ্ঞানী ও প্রযুক্তিবিদগণ ভবিষ্যৎবাণী করছেন। আর হালে কম্পিউটার, ইন্টারনেট, ই-মেইল, ওয়েবসাইট, টেলিকনফারেসিং ইত্যাদির ব্যবহার  যে গতিতে বাড়ছে তাতে বলা যায় যে তাঁরদের ভবিষ্যৎবাণী অচিরেই বাসত্মবে রূপলাভ করবে। দ্রুত পরিবর্তনশীল প্রযুক্তির সঙ্গে খাপ-খাইয়ে চলার জন্য ব্যক্তি, পরিবার সমাজ ও রাষ্ট্রীয় পর্যায়ে এতদবিষয়ে আগ্রহ বাড়ছে।  ফলে শিক্ষার প্রয়োজনীয়তা ও এর গুরুত্ব উপলব্ধির মাত্রা যতই  বৃদ্ধি পাচ্ছে শিক্ষাক্রম সম্পর্কে জনগণের জানার আগ্রহ ততই বাড়ছে। শিক্ষাক্রমের প্রয়োজনীয়তা এবং তার উন্নয়ন সমৃদ্ধে বিশ্ব্‌ব্যাপী প্রচারণা শুরু হয় দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধের পর। কারণ তখন পৃথিবীর বহু দেশ ঔপনিবেশিক শাসন থেকে স্বাধীনতা লাভ করে। এসব নতুন স্বাধীনতা প্রাপ্ত রাষ্ট্র স্ব স্ব সমাজের চাহিদা মাফিক শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থাকে ঢেলে সাজানোর জন্য মনোনিবেশ করে। ফলে চল্লিশ দশকের শেষার্ধে থেকে বিশ্বব্যাপী শিক্ষাক্রম উন্নয়নে ব্যাপক চিনত্মা ভাবনা শুরু হয়। পঞ্চাশ দশকের শেষের দিকে মহাকাশে স্পুটনিক প্র্রেরণে রাশিয়ার অভাবনীয় সাফল্য সারা বিশ্ব জুরে বিজ্ঞান শিক্ষাক্রম উন্নয়ন, পরিমার্জন ও নবায়ন সম্পর্কে বহু চিনত্মাভাবনা ও গবেষণা করা হয়। ফলে গত চার পাঁচ দশকে শিক্ষাক্রম প্রণয়ন ও উন্নয়নের নানা তত্ত্ব মডেল, পদ্ধতি, প্রণাললী ও কলাকৌশল উদ্ভাবিত হয়। শিক্ষাক্রমের বিভিন্ন তত্ত্ব সম্বন্ধে আলোচনার আগে আমরা শিক্ষাক্রম তত্ত্ব কি জেনে নেই।

বর্তমান বিশ্বের সবচেয়ে বড় আবিষ্কার হচ্ছে মানুষের মনোভাব পরিবর্তন করে তার জীবন যাত্রার মানকে পরিবর্তন করা। এই মনোভাব কে ই ইংরেজিতে Attitude বলা হয়। একটি মানুষের মনুষ্যত্ব এবং সামাজিকতার ধারক এবং বাহক হচ্ছে এই Attitude । মানুষের সফলতা এবং ব্যর্থতাও নির্ভর করে এর উপর। এই লেখায় আমি Attitude এর কিছু বিষয় আলোচনা করবো যা আমাদের সফলতা এবং জীবন গঠনে কেমন মনোভাব রাখা দরকার তা বুঝতে সহায়তা করবে।

Library (from French "librairie"; Latin "liber" = book) is an organized collection of resources made accessible to a defined community for reference or borrowing. It provides physical or digital access to material, and may be a physical building or room, or a virtual space, or both. A library's collection can include books, periodicals, newspapers, manuscripts, films, maps, prints, documents, microform, CDs, cassettes, videotapes, DVDs, e-books, audiobooks, databases, and other formats. Libraries range in size from a few shelves of books to several million items. In Latin and Greek, the idea of bookcase is represented by Bibliotheca and Bibliothēkē (Greek: βιβλιοθήκη): derivatives of these mean library in many modern languages, e.g. French bibliothèque.

আমাদের পৃথিবীর উপরে যেখানে বায়ুর স্তর সেখানে মেঘের মেলা। সেখানেই আছে গ্যাসের একটি স্তর। এ গ্যাসের নাম ওজোন। এ স্তরটির নাম ওজোন স্তর। এর বেষ্টনী দিয়ে সমগ্র পৃথিবী-কে বেষ্টন করা হয়েছে। এটি খুব পাতলা আবরণের একটি স্তর। এর কাজ হল, সুর্যের ক্ষতিকর আল্ট্রাভায়োলেট রশ্নিকে প্রতিহত করা। এ রশ্নি যেন মানুষ বা প্রাণী জগতের ক্ষতি করতে না পারে, সে জন্য এ গ্যাস স্তরটি তাকে প্রতিরোধ করে থাকে। আল্ট্রাভায়োলেট রশ্নি প্রাণী জগত, গাছ পালা, শষ্যক্ষেত্র ইত্যাদির জন্য ক্ষতিকর। আর এ ওজোন স্তর আছে বলেই পৃথিবী শষ্য শ্যামল হয়ে উঠেছে। এটি না থাকলে সুর্যের ক্ষতিকর রশ্মি সরাসরি পৃথিবীতে পতিত হয়ে পৃথিবীর সব কিছুর প্রাণ বিনষ্ট করে দিত।ইদানিং পৃথিবীতে মোটর গাড়ী, শিল্প কারখানা হতে নির্গত ধোয়া থেকে মাত্রাতিরিক্ত কার্বনডাইঅক্সাইড গ্যাসের নির্গমন বেড়ে গেছে। এটি ধীরে ধীরে ওজোন স্তরকে ক্ষয় করে ফেলছে। ওজোন স্তর দুর্বল হয়ে যাওয়ার কারণে পৃথিবীতে তাপমাত্রা বৃদ্ধি পাচ্ছে। আর এ তাপমাত্রা বৃদ্ধির ফলে একদিকে পাহাড় চুরায় অবস্থিত বরফ গলে নদী নালায় বন্যা নেমে আসছে। সমুদ্র পৃষ্ঠের উচ্চতা বেড়ে যাচ্ছে। অপরদিকে সবুজ বন বনানী ধ্বংস হয়ে যাচ্ছে। অধিকহারে ঘুর্ণিঝড়, হ্যারিকেন সৃষ্টি হচ্ছে। এ অবস্থার আরো অবনতি হলে মেরু প্রদেশের বরফ গলতে শুরু করবে। ভয়ংকর প্লাবন সৃষ্টি হবে। এমনিভাবে পৃথিবী এক মহা ধ্বংসের দিকে ধাবিত হবে। ডুবে যাবে অধিকাংশ স্থলভাগ। সাগরে হারিয়ে যাবে নিম্নভূমি। এই প্রক্রিয়ার নামই হল গ্রীণ হাউজ প্রতিক্রিয়া।

An announcement goes out to the faculty that from now on the university will operate as a total quality management campus. All academic, business, and service functions will be assessed regularly, and quality teams will plan ways to improve them. A campus quality director and a steering team are named, with the director reporting to the Provost. All university departments appoint quality coordinators, who attend a one-day workshop on quality management principles and return to their departments to facilitate faculty and/or staff meetings at which quality improvement is discussed. Some academic programs and many individual faculty members have tried applying quality principles in their work. Nevertheless, after more than a decade of such efforts, TQM has not established itself as the way many universities operate, especially in matters related to classroom instruction.

Mohandas Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869 to Hindu parents in Western India. In India, the people are divided into five castes:  Brahmin (priests), Kshatriya (warriors), Vaisya (merchants), Sudra (artisans), and the Untouchables. Mohandas’s family belonged to the caste of Merchants. His father was the town’s diwan. His father’s employment was similar to a town judge that would settle problems between the citizens. Mohanda’s spiritual education actually began at home observing his mother praying before each meal, visiting the temple every day, and fasting during holy times. His marriage to Kasturbai Makanji was arranged when they were both 13 years of age. Mohandas often tried to command Kasturbai, but she resisted him. He learned how effective this quiet resisting was and used it later against the British.
At the age of 18, Mohandas decided to leave his family to study law in London. The government officials in Bombay informed him that if he traveled abroad, he would ruin his standing as a Hindu. Mohandas knew that he would become an outcast for leaving, but he was determined to go. Before leaving, he promised his mother that he would stay away from meat, alcohol, and women. He kept his promise.

SMC’s are established by the Ministry of Education (through its provincial and district education offices) through a series of comprehensive social mobilization activities which encourage and guide communities in the participatory processes of managing a school. SMCs normally consist of 7–8 members from diverse interest groups; a school administrator or principal, parents, teachers and community elders. Since every community member cannot participate in the SMC, the community selects members of the committee through a shared decision making process.

Information products are generally produced by different companies to promote their products, like food items, cosmetics, furniture, garments, real estate plots and flats, admission to different educational and vocational institutes, etc.

Public Relations (PR) is often confused with advertising. It is, however, a distinct branch of communication and involves informing and educating the public about the activities or philosophy of an organization. Some companies have their own PR departments, while others appoint consultants or agencies specializing in the job. The keyword is communicating the company’s point of view to various target groups, in an effective manner so that a favorable impression is formed. PR is, thus, a powerful management function and a serious business activity. It does not mean merely building relations with different groups.
