Natalya Gorbanevskaya

Natalya Yevgenyevna Gorbanevskaya (Russian: Ната́лья Евге́ньевна Горбане́вская; 26 May 1936 – 29 November 2013) was a Russian poet, journalist, translator of Polish literature and civil rights activist.

She was born in Moscow. She graduated from the Saint Petersburg State University in 1964. In 2005, she became a citizen of Poland.[1]

Gorbanevskaya died on 29 November 2013 at her home in Paris, France. She was aged 77.[1]
