Sir Alan William Parker, CBE (14 February 1944 – 31 July 2020) was a British movie director from Islington, London. One of his best known movies is Bugsy Malone (1975).
Early years
[change | change source]Parker was born into a working-class family in Islington, North London, the son of Elsie Ellen, a dressmaker, and William Leslie Parker, a house painter.[1]
Death
[change | change source]Parker died in London on 31 July 2020 at age 76.[2]
