Thabo Mvuyelwa Mbeki[3] (Xhosa pronunciation: [tʰaɓɔ mbɛːkʼi]; born 18 Juin 1942) is a Sooth African politeecian wha served nine years as the seicont post-apartheid Preses o Sooth Africae frae 14 Juin 1999[4] tae 24 September 2008.[5] On 20 September 2008, wi aboot nine month left in his seicont term, Mbeki annoonced his resignation efter bein recawed bi the Naitional Executive Committee o the ANC,[6] follaein a conclusion bi judge C. R. Nicholson o improper interference in the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), includin the prosecution o Jacob Zuma for corruption.[7] On 12 Januar 2009, the Supreme Coort o Appeal unanimously owerturned judge Nicholson's judgment[8][9][10] but the resignation stuid.
